An effective way to fight... [SPOILERS]
Gaius's soldiers? They always block your attacks if you hit them, and i've realized on the final battle that if you hit them on their backs, they won't block and receive the hit, but when fighting them head on, there's really no way of hitting them. So i spammed Fidget's storm attack and attacked them from their backs when i could.

Now i'm doing the game again on Hardcore, and reached Ziplich Village, having found the first 2 soldiers, i'm wondering, is there an effective (And fun) way of fighting them?

Slide through. I found this very fun and effective, because this move can break their blocks, and for a few seconds distract them. And then quickly finish with some powerful combos with fidged and regular attacks (or with "Attack-attack-dust-dust-dust" combo on the ground). Even works on General Gaius (sorry for bad english :fhappy:)

i practically never slide in battle. only spammed it once for the achievement, but this is a good tip. i'll have to try myself when i jump back in the game
Sigh, they can even block the slide. They even block normal attacks while they're back flipping from being hit.

Then i dunno (maybe it's because the difficult level?). Attacks from above they can block easily, only fidget spam and using "Dash" remains.

They don't block throws, do they? I'm pretty sure I used the hit into the air and throw them into the ground attack on every normal-sized humanoid enemy including bosses, and it does a lot of damage.

Haven't tried Hardcore yet though.

Try to air throw them. Your air throw is unblockable. Also, they cannot block if they're in the air, and they bounce a bit after you slam them into the ground, so try to chain air throws together if you can (though it can be hard when there's more than one enemy). You can also try to (double) jump above them and try to bait them into jumping. Of course, some good ol' Fidget spam might knock them into the air, too.

The Undoing (Air Throw)
Controller: jump, X→X→X→Y
Keyboard: jump, J→J→J→K
Mouse: jump, LMB→LMB→LMB→RMB
Playing right now, and it seems like they can't parry your ground Dust Storm (Or will most likely get hit while lunging forward), also, you can hold the primary attack button (With the first attack) when they're about to lunge at you. Gigantic necropost, I know, but I thought it would help someone
