Stuck in Cirromon Caverns

So I am on my way to see "The Lady" and I got to this room with raining green goo. I got to the other side of the room and ran into a "Can't escape" wall, even though there are zero enemies in the room. Is there something I am missing here? I literally cannot progress any further through the game because of this.

haha wow I found them literally right after posting that

Since I came here with the same problem, and found two people from years ago who also got stuck at this spot but then didn't say how they resolved it.... maybe I can help out some future person.

For me there were some flying enemies up off the top of the screen that I couldn't see but still registered as having engaged me. Using Fidget's ranged attack flushed them out.
