Game Doesn't Open Upon Startup
Hi guys, so I'm a bit new to this discussion forum stuff, but recently I have gone through an issue where the game doesn't open up when I start it. I recently uninstalled some Windows programs which I then realised that I needed to have to play the game, I reinstalled them, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, verified integrity of the game files, it wouldn't open again. Do I need to do a full system restart and backup every existing file on this PC or is there an alternate solution? Please let me know as this is my favourite game and I would love to play this again.

PS: This issue only happens with this game and one other that I have, Geometry Dash. Every other game I have works just fine, it's weird. Please help. Thanks.

Recently found out you also need .NET Framework for it to run as well, so I also suggest that to go along with my usual advice of getting Direct X 9 and 11. Steam should have had that installed on launch. If you don't have it, I would get it for free from Microsoft.

Another good basic set of programs to have is Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable, and get all of those for free from Microsoft as well.

Any place I can necessarily find those? I reinstalled the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable but what's Direct X 9 and 11? I believe I also got the .NET Framework as well, I thought I reinstalled that too, but I would need to double check.
You can also find Direct X 9 and 11 through Microsoft, but here's a link I found to download them, paired with install directions as well.

Direct X is basically the thing that talks to your hardware (your PC parts) and translates it for your software (Steam and Games). For older generation games, this firmware (the "translator") is almost a requirement.

Okay, I downloaded the Direct X 9, Direct X 11 is for Windows 7 and isn't compatible and the rest of the stuff I installed, and after a restart, it still doesn't open. Any other ideas?
