Xbox gamepad not working?

I try to switch to the Xbox gamepad option in the setting and i save it, but then i go back into the options and keyboard only is back by default. Anyone else having this issue?

Nope, worked fine for me back then.

Now... since "back then" didn't have a Steam that was messing around with the controller -- did you turn off controller supporrt in Steam? You already have an XBox gamepad, so there's no need for Steam to emulate one...

My controller works fine for every other game. When I load this game up the controller doesnt work. By default, in the game it has keyboard only. You can switch this to "keyboard and mouse" or "xbox gamepad". Whenever i switch it and exit out the menu, which saves, my controller still doesnt work, and when i go back into the menu its back on "keyboard only"

UPDATE: all of a sudden it works. No clue why. I didnt do anything different. Just loaded up the game after commenting again and the controller works, even without me having to change the setting (-_-)
