RECOVER hEXEN SAVED GAME

I accidentally saved my Hexen game while in the process of dying. Is there any way to recover an older saved game.

If it was erased, it's impossible i think, use maybe a cheat code to be protected or something like that really if you have no choice! There should be some on the net.

Maybe use some program like Recuva to restore deleted file, but I don´t know if it can also restore overwritten one. Or Windows feature to reset folder back to earlier version?

Also isn´t there any ressurect cheat, like in ZDoom/GZDoom sourceport? Or you can activate god cheat (type "SATAN" in original game, in sourceport it may be just "god" into the console).
