Does anyone know where i can get a manual for the game?

ebay has a CD copy of the game with manual for $4.99 right now.

Nothing there though helping you with the back and forth puzzle game that Hexen has though.

Still nice to see. :D I never had the box so I had never seen it. I do however have the box of Portal of Praevus!

Thanks for this. I couldn't for the life of me figure out to select items in inventory until I read this. It's a pity Steam couldn't add the manual.

You're welcome. archive.org also has a scan of Heretic 2 https://archive.org/details/Heretic_II_Manual_PC

Though I couldn't find a scan of Heretic 1, they seem to have a playable shareware version on the website (not a download but it plays on the browser!) https://archive.org/details/HereticShadowOfTheSerpentRiders
