CANNOT RUN WITH LESS THAN 1024 X 768 RESOLUTION.

RPG Maker XP give me that problem, i change my resolution a lot of times and try some other things, ¿any idea please?

RPG Maker VX Ace works nice :), but XP...

Well the say that on the System Requirements that you need at least a Resolution of 1024x768 to start RPG Maker XP! Is there reason why you want to go down to 800x600 or deeper? Specially because Microsoft changing the Resolution slowly higher in the future, which ends up removing the older Resolutions. Also the say on the Requirements that the don't support 64 Bit which means that the Application will not use 16GB Ram, but Games still run normal without Problems.

I had this problem when the resolution is set to something that is not supported by RPG Maker XP. For example, when my screen resolution is set to 1920x1080, I get the "Cannot run with less than 1024 x 768 resolution.". If I have the screen resolution set to 1680x1050, RPG Maker XP launches without the error message.

I beleive that RPG Maker XP does not support certain aspect ratios, even when the resolution is above 1024x768.

Managed to fix it just by right clicking the program, going to properties, then changing the compatibility options to turn on "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings".

Worked just fine afterwards.

The application requires 1024x768 resolution. To properly run the software, change your PC or most probably netbook's resolution then run the software.

You have to find the RPGVXAce.exe on your computer. It must be here :

X:\Program Files (whatever) \Steam\SteamApps\common\RPGVXAce

Then right click on the RPGVXAce.exe and go to properties.

I manage to fix my issue by "run compatibility troubleshooter" under compatibility then select troubleshoot program
tick I don't see my problem listed next select "I don't know" in windows version then "test the program". it will run the application and show you the compatible settings you need to apply
