RPG Maker XP

RPG Maker XP

Is this engine worth it today?
There have been plenty of great games made with this engine today, and it seems good enough for the job. worth?

I still enjoy using XP. I still answer technical questions when I can l. I would say it's worth it for sure.

I haven't used it very much so far, but after a couple of hours I think it's my favorite version of RPGMaker to actually use. I think it hits a perfect balance between being intuitive and being malleable - other versions of RPGMaker tend to be either "incredibly easy to understand but very restrictive" or "difficult to understand but capable of making a wide variety of games," at least in my opinion.

tbh, i like this engine very much. poorly, the feature is not much enought like RPG Maker MV or MZ. ( well u can customize it as you want with scripting though ).

RPG Maker MZ is better but far more expensive, but i think that XP still does it's job and is cheaper so if you need a very powerful tool i recommend MZ but if you want to make games for fun then i think XP is better. Also XP is used for Pokemon Fan Games so that's why a lot of people get XP

i Love XP, so Much. the only think i don like is Layering Limit. but if for a Simple Map, it's good Enought. the Feature is not much as MZ, but i still Enjoying XP.

what i want to Say is, XP still Woth it. trust me.

There's a lot of upsides and few downsides to MZ (like it's slightly more annoying to do certain things in MZ), but if you don't have the money to drop you can do way worse for 24.99
it's also a better choice than VX and VX Ace doesn't have some of the features XP does, if you know Ruby and don't want to learn Javascript.
