what kind of jobs will be in the game when it releases? im hoping they have emergency service jobs like police, paramedics and fire fighters

I'm curious as well, since none are rabbit holes. So far we've seen a hair salon and an office. They did show players can create their own careers too though.

Well when they showed the buildings you can take from the library and place into your world, I saw car dealership as an option, so hopefully you can work there and I hope there's a mechanic job too.

Since we can create our own, I'm hoping for some truly bizarre custom occupations. Odor sniffer, snake milker, professional snuggler, hypnotherapist, septic tank pumper, and corpse disposal, to name a few.

I agree on emergency services for sure, maybe extended even further. Let me play as a dispatcher... or a jail inmate!

Oh, I didn't think of this at first, but since every character in the game is an actual character and not just an npc, and the trailer shows buses, that means you can probably be a bus driver. Rod already said in an interview you can play as the delivery driver that brings groceries to households that ordered it, so I assume bus driver is a thing.

judging by the initial video before life by you ended up on steam store a week ago, the initial announcement video, towards the end there is this picture of sims on a sandy beach surrounded by various items but next to it was beach hut used by lifeguards. i'm wondering if lifeguard is an option for a job?

i also saw a buoy a little further out into the water off the coast, possible marine biologist job?

There's been another new interview where Rod said this: “We have hotel jobs, retail jobs, hairdressing, salon, finance, regular white-collar jobs – all of that with progression – out of the box,” Humble explains. “But we also ship with an entire career and job editor and creation tool so you can make brand new jobs from scratch. Maybe i can build that mega complex i've been thinking of for some time. first thought it up on hotel magnet as i was looking at that as a sort of soft alternative to TS4. with LbY, i won't need to do anything of the such.
Early indicators are positive, but that doesn't mean much until i see it in action during Early Access.

Yeah, I think the biggest concern is the performance and bugs. If the game works as advertised, it would be pretty much everything I ever wanted from the sims.
