Add in the ability to move your workbenches and crafting tables, as well as the addition of indoor lighting, sloped corner rooves and fixing the building elements so that you can build anywhere. If you try to build near the coal, Iron or Copper miners it does not let you and there's TONS of land that is just open. I'd also like the ability to make like an outdoor fence that can be placed on the ground to give my land plot a little more customization. Also perhaps some rugs, tables, chairs, etc for furniture decorations.

A shift click function to move between your inventory and the boxes, please.

Auto save function is really needed. I had a cat induced accident where he pulled the power plug on my pc and I lost 3 hours of work I had previously done.
Even if the auto save is set for every morning, that would help massively.
Also, some version of highlighting when a button is pressed, as losing my arrows every time I shoot a wolf or fox barrelling down on me is rather frustrating.
Alternatively, you could keep the arrows that hit the target in them and put them in the loot bag once you have skinned the creature, that would help a lot.

Maybe have mobs occasionally spawn from your mines if the player is within a certain range of his base and has built more than 1 mine. *Give warning to allow for time to run back.* Maybe have the mines outside of the players base, but not far, and make the ore nodes
separately purchasable, and make the enemy count increase relative to the number of mines you have built.

I thought the hunger rate was fine but it's good to have the options to change it, perhaps eventually in a difficulty setting. The problem was taking 5 minutes of eating 1 berry at a time in the beginning, then 5 minutes of the red berry for thirst, leaves a lot of people frustrated. An 'eat all' or 'eat ten' or 'eat until hunger filled' would have decreased the number of people complaining about hunger. Food is abundant and re-spawns. The lengthy method of consuming it is what was annoying.

There needs to be a resource sink for most raw materials. Recruit-able NPC's eat your food. Governor collects taxes per land usage to keep you earning, The king demands resources for a foreign war, The town has random calamities requiring you to invest time and resources to fix it.

An 'auto-run' button would be nice. Press it and it emulates holding down the 'move forward' key.

The weather effects are cool, but needs to be something less binary than 'will rain for 1.5 day cycles' or 'will not rain for 1.5 day cycles' The stars at night should be providing more light, On my OLED TV I literally cant tell the difference between my TV being turned off and the middle of the night.

One last, perhaps most important thing: Google 'Fantasy Craft'. Even with time you'll not compete with the search results because your going up against a popular minecraft mod with the same name among many other results. So, a more unique name would let people find you without going to page 4 of search results.
Cheers, mates. You'll sell a ton of copies of this once more content comes out and it is more polished. For EA and its price, I'd say its great.

Loving the game!
A few thoughts on quality of life improvements:
I would ask that you Tweak or balance the costs for basic early game items, many early items are way too expensive.
The burn rate for wood and coal are way too fast, realistically they would last longer and food decay is also a bi fast, cooked meat should last several hours, not a single hour and dried meat should last days and should require salt to cure.
I saw in your last notes you are adding a map and some sort of direction marker so that is fantastic!
Please add the ability to build walls with stone at some point, that would be great.
It would also be great if you planed to add animal pens and husbandry at some point as well.
Finally, in this post, I made a sleeping bag but it wouldn't let me sleep, only pick it up. The option to sleep through the night would be cool.
Keep up the great work!!!

Once a blueprint is bought and learned, it would be nice if the vendors had a green check mark, indicating you have learned it.

Descriptions on blueprints to include: armor, durability, damage, range, etc. so you can compare before purchasing.

Journal quest entries to have more detailed dialog other than just items needed. Perhaps the original quest givers dialog. Indicate repeatable quests.

Tired of transferring resources back and forth between benches, would be nice if they were shared. Or auto crafting from storage.

More choices in game settings, such as drop on death or no drop on death.

More star lit nights, would be nice to have some light.

Option to sleep thru the night.

Ability to have bed spawn point outside of my land, especially as the map grows and expands, with more things to do.

This is not important but it's in regards to decorations for around the property. Being able to make a stack of wood or rocks but could also be used to store your only your wood or rocks.

More hats and possibly the ability to hide them if they're ugly ;)
GingerSnap Nov 21, 2023 @ 12:19pm
I've noticed that the iron skinning knife gives you less resources than the stone skinning knife for particular mobs e.g. the boar and wolf give large chunks of meat with the stone skinning knife where the iron only gives a small carcass. Consider adding a middle tier of carcass for some mobs or add an alternate iron knife like a butchers knife that gives more raw resources and hide than the stone knife.

Add a slider to choose how many items to move when splitting a stack.

I'm in agreement with prior suggestions to add the following:
+ Ability to move benches, etc w/in base
+ an 'auto-run' feature
+ Some UI symbol or other way of identifying which blueprints you have learned.
Annie Juan Nov 21, 2023 @ 6:12pm
Perhaps, since we are unable to sell extra blueprints, maybe after learning the first one, we can get some extra xp from reading, but coded only regarding the ones in the locked chests. Or code it so that in single player there is only one in the locked chests.

it gives you a carcass which you can then take into a butcher table and break down it get guts, meat, and fat

Definitely loving the game so far.
But i do have some suggestions.
I would like more options for copper items seems like a waste to only keep them to the pick and axe. maybe better variance in smelters and workstations.
I do wish the boar were large carcass rather than small ones(just a preference)
ice seems worthless at the moment cause of the time it basically "decays".
Saw people talking about gothic 3 loved that game, but i do agree with secret locations.
would make the game more interesting to find items or random armor/weapons behind locked chests.
since theres going to be magic in the game or seems like it, i recommend more uses for quartz.
like a light source or a simple respawn totem that can be placed down.
nights should honestly need to be brighter or be allowed to sleep through.
makes nights pointless to do anything other than hanging out in front of your stations and wait. Ive played vintage story i know the waiting game pain.
Would like to see options for better hauling wood, and the usages for firewood in certain items decreased. consumes a little too quickly.
the enemies staggering is a little annoying, especially when they can swing three times before you can even swing once at them sometimes.
Would like more skills on the skill tree.. like hunter, forager, blacksmith, woodworker.
nothing overpowered just simple stuff like when i skin a deer i have a chance of getting more skin or one extra marbled meat from the butcher table.
and like collecting grass i get a better chance of getting more fibers/berries with the skill leveled up.
Also i would love to see if the governor would give you missions to kill basically mini bosses in areas that youve discovered or opened up. get decent rewards like building material or food for killing the beast or undead. instead of the repeat quests they give out.
saw people talking about stone building i 100% agree with on that. walls etc..
would like to see raids be a thing to. like hitting a certain area after being unlocked. activates raids where your base will have three waves attack you. they would only attack you and not your items, would be too expensive at the moment if they attacked everything in sight. but would be cool to see.
But yeah, thats a few of my suggestions after playing it pretty much to the point of the end of where its at. again loving it a lot, cant wait for more content!!!

I would like long upright poles to set at the entrance to the property with a wide wooden sign I could place across the top customized with a name. Hah, a bit much right?
Also paving stones for walkways.
