Can't find the Iron mine.

I faced my plot and turned left. Ran until the mountain range stopped me. facing the mountain range I turned right then followed the 'wall' of mountains. Came across a door but it was locked? is this the mine?

should be a road sign on the path near the door, and yes it is North - East of your farm, there is a normal sized wolf by as well.

Yeah, the dark stone blocked door. Craft the required items to repair and unlock it.

u just just turn left from your farm and go along the road where u'll meet some youngs wolves, one fox. if u go straight u'll come up to some blocked location it's ruins as the sign says u'll see two agree boars on the left you should turn right go up the hill and u'll find the mine (u'll see the sign).

Thanks. I found it. I finally ran into the sign which pointed in its direction. The sign is beside one of the bridges in the town. Crossing the bridge brings you out of town and a road there brings you into the sparse forest and eventually to another set of signs marked 'ruin' and 'M... Mines'. Follow the road that the sign points down and you will reach it. There are mobs there so be careful, they will gang up on you if you go too deep too quick.
I'm still not sure if its a 'cave mine' cause the mobs drove me back. There are Iron nodes there though, among the pillars.

Great! I'm really glad you found it. Don't be afraid to go deep into the cave it has 4 or five small chambers almost every each chamber has larva or a rat protecting the cave and only the last branch has 3 rats. So take a lot of arrows and a stone spear to defent your-self and a lot of weapon repair kits and tool repair kit or all the items to craft it:) and better go in the early morning:). The Cave has coal, iron and copper. And there are 4 or 5 locked chest in these chambers with money and some useful blueprints:). Did you manage to buy a couple of lockpicks?

Once through the gate to the mine hug the inner stone circle to the left till you hit the mine - its a pain to see//find especially as the light goes.

Is the mine in among the ruins? I repaired a gate after following signs out of town but when I opened the gate it said the area was M's palace. Now I am dodging snakes and larva running around on top of the ruins but cant find the "mine"

U're at the right place:). Just find an entrance in the cave this will be mines:). Did u buy enough lockpicks from Piere? To find all the hidden chests with the parts of iron shovel go to the guide and u'll find the screenshots of the places:). Don't let the snakes bite u, they sprinkke poison in to your blood:). I usually jump on an old cart or on that rectangular building and take one by one with a bow:).

Is the shovel recipe in another chest somewhere. I finally unlocked the blacksmith bench and crafted one. I can make the shovel head but not the shovel :(

u can craft an iron shovel in the blacksmith, just craft a blade of shovel, put it into the blacksmith's bench, craft a reinforced tool handle in the carpernter's bench.
p.s. did u find a bp of an iron shovel?
