.flac doesn't work under Linux
Hello,

I've installed Audiosurf 2 in my Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64bit environement, I hoped it will work and it don't.

I can select a song to play (a .flac file in my /home folder), it starts and stops a few second after. Unusable!

How can I get it to work?

System :
Dell XPS 630i
C2Q 2.83GHz
4Gb DDR2 non ECC
OEM GTX 285 1Gb with proprietary driver installed



EDIT : Problem found : Broken .flac support due to missing codecs of dependencies

For me the sounds effects are ok but the music doesnt work :/ it is all choppy.
Is there any additional libs to install or anything?

System:
Linux Mint 17
Intel i7 3770k
32GB DDR3 1600
Geforce 670GTX (proprietary driver)

Post terminal output, try different formats etc. Devs can't help if you don't provide information. It does work for most.

Start from the beginning. Exit Steam, open a terminal and type "steam". Log in, start the game etc. All required output should be there. (And yes, try an mp3 file as well. If it works, it might indeed be a bug related to flac format.)

Yesh, I tried with an mp3 file, it works fine. Doesn't witn .flac.

Yes, I've just tried it myself too, flac support seems to be broken and it's not due to missing libraries, codecs etc.

Fixed - thanks! FLAC works on Linux now.

OGG should work and does work on my Linux machines. Anyone else unable to play OGG files?

Awesome, FLAC works here now (as does OGG, always has - Arch 64bit)
