Controller support?
How do I get my controller working? Using a PS4 controller via InputMapper configured as a 360 controller, there are no options in the game to configure the controller, and nothing seems to do anything.

Also, uh... aren't there supposed to be some sort of tutorials?

Thanks!

I'm using a Logitech F310 with Xbox 360 drivers and I've never had an issue with it. I highgly recommend using a 360 controller or getting a pc gamepad. The first controller I used for PC gaming was a PS3 controller and it was constantly giving me hell. I usually ended up having to map everything manually via Xpadder.

As for the tutorials, they are on the loading screens (minus the first one when you boot up the game). There's also a few helpful guides to certain modes in the Guides section of this community hub.

I've only tried playing with my xbox controller, and then only after having selected a song using mouse/keyboard. Can't say I noticed an issue, other than it being a lot harder to use a controller than the mouse.

Your best bet for tutorials are in the community guides. There are a handful of guides, of varying quality, for mono mode and at least one that I know of for pointman mode. Having a grip on how to play mono mode is enough for the majority of game modes in audiosurf 2, puzzle modes are somewhat different and each is unique.
If you have about a weeks worth of time and your sanity to spare, Yishai's mega guide covers pretty much everything.

As somebody who enjoyed the first game from my sofa via Big Picture Mode, Audiosurf 2 is a huge disappointment.

I used an Xbox 360 controller.
I've audiosurfed my hours on XB360 wired pad and I never had any issues (especially - after the side-lines had been fixed). Now I've switched to XBOne wireless. The only point where the mouse is really needed is to press 'play' on a YT track.

Using an Xbox One controller here; the game plays fine with it, but man, that menu system needs a serious rework. It is NOT controller friendly. You can navigate the main section of the menu with the controller, but it can be hard to tell where your menu selector is at the start, you can't access to the options, and you can't exit the game.

Youtube videos could also do with autoplaying, or at least hacking together "pressing any button sends a click action to the video". Having to click the video when you're set on using a controller is annoying.

These combined also mean that I can't play the game over Steam Link, on my 42 inch TV with decent speakers, where it would really shine.

i use an Xbox One controler connected with a wire, and it works great. yeah, you have to navigate menus with a mouse and keyboard sometimes, but contoller support in-game is great.
