Not a 100% guaranteed fix but it worked for some
Running Linux Mint 21.3 MATE.
That is indeed a way, however it will mess up local song rendering. Why? Because 2.4.9 had a bit of an error in the FFT calculation which Dylan accounted for but which is obviously fixed in later versions. But then local songs go out of sync pretty fast.
As for the community patch, you can use the windows version of the game with it, you just need to copy everything from the plugins folder into the root game directly,otherwise it wont find some DLLs

I'll also try the bass.so library thing later too as I'm interested and more than happy to experiment, I'll let y'all know how that goes
