Leaderboard bug?
I love this game, but its not loving me at the moment.

Knowing that my Internet can be a ***** at times, that still doesn't explain the following:

I look up a song to play and it shows the leaderboard WITH existing entries. I play the song, and the live comparison to other players works too.

Then the song ends and I get my highscore... right? WRONG!

Out of the sudden, the leaderboard insists that no one has played the song/combination before, even though they were there, clear as day. My own score doesn't get submitted either which has cost me more than 1 throne by now. I check my connection and its still there, Steam working too.

This is some kind of nasty bug? Because if it is, its crippling. Nothing sucks more than having a record run only for it to bug out and not submit.

Anyone else experience this?

Do you see your own score when picking up this track again? I'd say that it can have something to do with several version of the song on your comp. To me it looks like your score goes elsewhere. E.g. I've had 'Eleanor Rigby' from Anthology on the main album scoreboard, and dethrone-bot keeps sending me to some tracks I had never even played. And it's even worse for the soundcloud. Same song can have dozen of boards, and score can show up in a strangest places.

Nope, not yet in 700+ hours of playtime.

There's a bug sort of like this that happens when you click on a song in the Dethrones tab. It will show the right leaderboard at first, but when you start to play it will be a totally different random song from SoundCloud. Afterward, it acts as if you played that random SoundCloud song using the Artist/Title tags from the song you clicked on in the Dethrones tab, and it makes a new leaderboard for that score because the Artist/Title tags + the length don't match up with anything anyone else has played. If the two songs were very similar in length, then it will post the score on the wrong board instead of making a new board. But that doesn't sound like the issue you are describing.

Haven't experienced it either. Can you find your way around Wireshark? You could check what kind of response you're getting from the server and if the tags and duration match with the request from before you started playing.

First of all, thanks for the responses!

This happens with both songs I have and those on the cloud. I can't view anyone's score on a song, not even my own (if I had played the song before).

I'm starting to suspect that it might be a internet connection drop during the song, its the only thing that makes sense to me.
