WTF is the point of the demo

I liked the AudioSurf demo as you could play a limited amount of songs, but you get to choose. I enjoyed it so I bought it. I decided I was going to have a try at the AudioSurf 2 demo, but I realise you can only play "The Song Of The Day". So I went into the categories and selected "Song Of The Day" and it was empty. What's the point of a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ demo when you're going to give me a blank section. No way I'm getting this.

The demo doesn't work.

Only way if you want to try it would be to buy it and if you aren't satisfied, request a refund.

Only issue with that is that if you're too overzealous with refunds, Steam may revoke that priviledge from you.

Basically, if you love AS1 there's a high chance that you're going to enjoy AS2 as well, you already know what to expect (+ the workshop). Those who had not played AS at all could play the AS1 demo....I guess.

I know it *****, but Dylan's got lots of things to do since the soundcloud went down.

I love Audiosurf 1 but the stupid demo of Audiosurf 2 doesn't work. So dumb. Might as well pirate it, so much easier!

Or just buy it. I've never played AS1 but I absolutely enjoy AS2.

Like others have said, if you aren't satisfied, refunds are your friend.

I felt the same as you guys, but you know what? I bought the game because I still knew I could refund it if I didn't like it, but it's actually pretty fun. Your decision shouldn't always rely on a demo, because not all games have em.

demo does not work because it had never been properly updated. Dylan barely has time to keep the audioshield\audiosurf afloat. In fact, the only ruined feature is the SoundCloud (replaced with YouTube due to the lack of alternatives). Read the thread.

You can always try and refund, and I should also mention that plenty of games don't even have any trials or demos to begin with. There's also the AS1 demo, which has proper number of free tracks to ride (3 I think?) and it gives you the right impression about the gameplay itself.
