Only way if you want to try it would be to buy it and if you aren't satisfied, request a refund.
Only issue with that is that if you're too overzealous with refunds, Steam may revoke that priviledge from you.
That sucks. I usually buy games if I like their demos.

Like others have said, if you aren't satisfied, refunds are your friend.
You can always try and refund, and I should also mention that plenty of games don't even have any trials or demos to begin with. There's also the AS1 demo, which has proper number of free tracks to ride (3 I think?) and it gives you the right impression about the gameplay itself.
