Whats up with the prank callers? [spoilers]
Recently finished the game and enjoyed it, as it appeals directly to my love of bestiaries, but was left a little confused about the prank callers.

One of the videos tells us about "smart mice", and the game over has you being turned into a mouse. Pretty sure the implication is that if you fail the HSH while knowing too much, this is your punishment. So the mystery emails were likely from one of these victims adorably trying to type on a keyboard with their little mouse paws.

I'm pretty sure this is also the explanation for the prank callers, I guess attempting some sort of tiny "revenge" on the company. But how the heck did mice, who apparently can't talk, manage to even make those calls? And with such distorted voices?

Think you got it backwards. The prank caller is just one guy, and in the middle of one of his calls is interrupted by someone (implied to be from HSH) and he's implied to have been turned into a smart mouse. During that call you hear him drop the voice distortion effects when he's surprised, too.

I think the prank caller was inspired by Longmont Potion Castle, as an aside. The distortions and speaking style is dead on.

oh i didn't realize that was HIM talking in the normal voice. I thought it was someone else walking in on the prank caller. Okay so he gets turned into one during that last call, that makes more sense. thanks.
