endless mode?
i feel like this game will be story based, but what will happen when you finish it? i was thinking that having an endless mode after you complete the game might be fun. but i'm no developer so maybe that would be hard to do

Yeah a true "endless" mode would definitely be a tricky nut to crack if we wanted something like it since each call has to be custom-written in order to provide an interesting challenge. It would be like trying to generate endless uniquely challenging levels in a puzzle game, if that makes sense.

I've given this some thought. You could outsource it via mods. The "original deck" is what you've created, and people could play endless mode with that, or users can shuffle in community content (inclusive of monster entries and call logs without audio). Obviously not a dev and don't know how hard this would be to implement, but that seems to be the solution to me.

There are tons more monsters out there in the lores of several cultures before you'd even have to get creative. He'll, I'd buy a deck of Greek monsters or Eastern European monsters to sort in. Great game BTW in its own right, I love what you've crafted here.

It would be difficult but not impossible to do an endless mode, especially if you removed say the voiced dialog. I wonder if you could use some AI script to make some more generic calls based off the in-game bestiary.

Yes! I'd love endless mode!

Games like these are heard to be made into endless mode, I'm afraid. I want it too but the devs would have to think of many scenarios.

Well, first of all, it doesn't have to be the devs. Like I said, this can be crowdsourced.

Second, take a look at the number of SCP entries. There are literally thousands of possible entries for this game here. You don't like those? Pick up a mythology book. Tons of material before you even have to get creative.
