Terrible Mod
Enemies seems unlimited amount, have insane HP, inflict insane damage, can drop you like a fly and they go tactical, movin and hiding constantly, their pattern seems like taken from follow freeman part, you know, the trap room. And my question is; how is that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fair?

If you are having trouble with the gameplay consider lowering the difficulty.
Rico2 Jul 1, 2016 @ 5:11pm
Haarp i don't think the difficulty goes any lower.

It certainly keeps you on your toes even on "low" difficulty.
It's a great mod.

You cant say a mod is bad because you suck at it. Im doing fine on normal. This is my advice, listen to Haarp, or GIT GUD

I think it's great for the exact same reasons, it offers a challenge, something I've been longing for in my fps experiences.

Don't mistake challenge for unfairness. More games should make the player die and try again these days.
Hey dude if you think that this game is hard go play through the part in the mod transmission element 101 where YOU ARE AMBUSHED BY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ZOMBIES IF YOU THINK THIS IS HARD, you have it good.
Also,
if you think the enemies in this have infinite health then go play half life 2 episode 2 where you are assaulted by striders AND gangbanged via the means of several hunters assaulting you as well, ON NORMAL MODE!
and also,
try playing lowlife chapter in episode 1 of half life 2 on normal mode
you have been warned, beleive me this game is much more simple than those scenarios that I have listed, and if you think these enemies are hard, BRO I KILLED A FAST ZOMBIE WITH A HEADSHOT FROM THE SHOTGUN, IT IS NOT INVINCIBLE, BELIEVE ME! IT IS A SIMPLE GAME!

"unlimmited amount"
have you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ played the chapter lowlife of episode 1? it would kill you to even play on easy.
"insane HP"
bro if your playing on hard mode stop whining and play easy mode or normal, their hp is not bad. calm down mr. edgelord.
"inflict insane damage"
Again, IF YOUR ON HARD MODE STOP.
"drop you like a fly and then go tactical movin and hiding constantly"
Their AI knows when your zooming the .357 man, that's normal. and if your being dropped then run from the shotgunners, dont get your head blown off.
"movin and hiding constantly"
so what are they meant to do, let you shoot them in the head instead of giving any challenge or even shooting you????
"their pattern seems like taken from follow freeman part, you know, the trap room."
THE COMBINE DONT HAVE ANY KIND OF PATTERN, AND IF YOU MEAN THE EXPLOSIVES ROOM IN FOLLOW THE FREEMAN THEN AGAIN, THERE IS NO PATTERN.
"And my question is; how is that ♥♥♥♥ing fair?"
It is how you play the game.

If you want to learn how to play with basic instructions- let me tell you.
-press the easy mode button since you are difficult at playing hard mode
-shoot the combine in the head with the 357, not the legs.
-shoot guns, dont hit with the crowbar unless they are headcrabs.
-if combine are hiding, run around the corner to shoot them or throw a grenade around it by bouncing it off a wall.

Well, the mod is harder comparing to Half-Life 2 and its episodes; but I cannot say it is unfair. Playing slowly and carefully would give you an edge. I also quicksave a lot, so not a big problem. If you want to see an unfair mod, go ahead; try Xidia Gold total conversion single player mod for Unreal Tournament (1999) which might teach you the meaning of unfairness...

By the way, the author of the mod (Adam Foster) was hired by VALVE thanks to this mod; the guy even contributed both Half-Life 2 episodes. I guess Valve does not share your opinion. ^ ^

If you're sucking ass at this even at the lowest diffuculty, you might just be trash tbh fam. I played on Hard and had no real difficulty, dropping down to the lowest at like 5 hp. Medkits are so bloody abundant. I always aimed for the head, but I don't know if HL2 has hitbox/damage output things like CSS and TF2 do, but good practice anyways.

tldr; stop sucking ass

I think what he's trying to say is that the game is actually fun!

I play all my games on normal first and then go for hard. Beat both Ep2 and Loast Coast that way and plan on doing it with the rest of the HL games/mods. However this game does feel like the difficulty was increased a bit. For one you do not have anyone holding your hand like in Ep 1 and 2. For two I think it was meant to always have enemies harder. I liked most of the fighting that took place, especially with the Combine.

However it is quite beatable on normal although there were a few areas, especially in the lower levels and the route back up that was a pain (And I am dreading it on hard...), but still beatable. On hard though, yes it does seem a bit over whelming at times, but then it is as it should be. It is suppose to be more challanging. I was just recently trying to get past one of the side doors on the island to make my way down the first set of stairs into the reactor, with the squad of Combine with pulse rifles and then the platoon of man-hacks, which took me quite a few tries. Finally I just said screw the MHs and went straight below. I hope that does not bite me in the flanks later... :steammocking:

All in all though I thoroughly enjoyed the game. My only real complaint was that there was no voice to the computer (Surely he could of had a male or female actor...) and no way to page back and forth through old and new messages and some times the message would pop up at the most inopportune times and I would either miss reading parts of it or have to reload the game because I died trying. Haha! Besides that though I would not change a thing. :steamhappy:
