As far as I know, the answers are Yes and Yes (edited, thanks to Eric), but please don't quote me on that.

Actually the answers are Yes and Yes.

You might start a game on any devices (PC, Android ot iOS) and then continue it later on any other device
:)

Speaking of cross platform... Any chance of Small World being a SteamPlay game?

@OneBagTravel

I cannot tell. Because we don't know yet.

For the moment we are trying to improve the existing versions on the 3 platforms. This is already quite a challenge, considering that we are a small team and given the above 3 platforms and all the (backward and cross-platform) compatibility issues that every update may create. When we are confident we can release updates to fix bugs or improve the game smoothly, then only will we consider adding more platforms (and even then I'm not saying we will).

That doesn't sound very assuring :( Well it would be a welcoming addition.

ps. hire more people!
pps. when will we see a kick starter for Memoir '44 2 :swcrown:

Would I have to buy the game on both Android and Steam to continue a game on the other platform, or is there a way to pay once for both? And would I have to buy the expansions for each?

You need to purchase the game on each platform because of the business terms of the Google Play Store and the App Store. In other words, each of these store is a walled garden, we are not allowed to grant the software (or even a DLC) from one store to another.

That makes sense. But if I buy an expansion for Steam, do I have to have the same expansion purchased for Android to continue a game I started on Steam?
