It's been broken since release.
nice one mate for reply im not going mad and can stop the port forwarding bull.
I remember we had sImilar issues when we played Splinter Cell: Conviction, except there i could invite him and him not me, so there it worked at least. Never tried conviction multiplayer. In conviction a second friend of mine and I neither could play it at all together.
Aaaany clues on what made it work for you guys...?
I dont know if u saw what i wrote in Muskaflames post, just wanted to let you know. We got it to work by updating my game. My friend already had his updated through steam, I however use uplay and for some idiotic reason uplay doesnt automatically update... Well here is a link in case you or your friend or anyone else needs it: Splinter Cell: Blacklist Patch 1.01 https://support.ubi.com/en-US/FAQ.aspx?platformid=9&brandid=249&productid=2732&faqid=kA030000000eZTxCAM
edit:
TBH i guess it kinda makes sense for games on different patches not to be able to play together, but for the love of god Ubisoft, cant you give a more clear error message? cant you let a person know somewhere in the game what version one is playing? WHY CANT UPLAY UPDATE LIKE STEAM does? if you are supposed to be a competitor to steam, atleast attempt to have a better service! its like they arent even trying sometimes!
The person that's going to host the coop session ( you or your friend )
has to :
- enable DMZ on their IP-address OR manually forward all the required ports.
(for those that don't know, DMZ automatically forwards everything to your IP so you don't have to add 1000000 ports to the forwarding page.)
- Download / Install tunngle and create an account so you can login to the program.
- Search for splinter cell blacklist on the tunngle program, join the room.
The other person has to:
- Download / Install tunngle and create an account so you can login to the program.
- Search for splinter cell blacklist on the tunngle program, join the room.
Now all that's left for you to do is boot up your game via uplay/steam, create a session and invite your friend. ( this was tested with the uplay version )
100% working and I can finally enjoy coop with my friends :)
