Old time SC-player here (played all except Conviction). I strongly advise against buying this game for it is an unfinished and buggy game. I've experienced numerous crashes, bugs, imperfect and imbalanced gameplay and overall a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ online experience. I won't go in to too much detail but I'll give a few examples:

-random loss of save files.
-imbalanced mp-action; range of meleeattacks of spies is too high. Spamming the E-key is all you need to do. Ubisoft doesn't recognize scored-based matchmaking, the leveling system is just for show. It's very common for me (high lvl-player) to have to deal with lvl 1's.
Furthermore, not a single player online uses a microphone. There is also no incentive to finish the match: just quit if you're losing. Host quits= gg.
-poor design of interface and other support systems. Complete reboot if you want to plug in a microphone. It requires 5-10 minutes of waiting time to start up the entire game and to launch a multiplayer match. Every game in existence can do that under 2-3 minutes max.

I just want to conclude that this game will give you 1-2 weeks of playing time online. I recon it will be dead within the next few months. Save yourself some money and just torrent the game for the singleplayer which is actually fairly decent.

I'm really enjoying SvM. Maybe you should try SvM classic rather than SvM Blacklist. There's no loadouts and the smaller teams make it a lot less chaotic. Lot's more lovely shadows to hide in too ;)

i agree svm is fun. the game is hardly buggy at all for me. and really incompletei didnt think so.
also the 5-10 min waiting times ive seen worse.

What a BS-thread. I'm also a SC-veteran so to speak and this game is great. Much better than the crappy Conviction. I've encountered no bugs that I know of, and no performance issues at all.
Although, I only play single player. MP might be buggy as hell, I dunno. Still a ***** dumb name on a thread.
Only thing that bothers me is that it's obviously a port, and the game feels like it.

First off, if you're buying SC for multiplayer you're doing it wrong. lol.. SC has always been about the story. Telling people to torrent the game cuz you don't like the multiplayer is just ignorant. The game runs great for me, no bugs, no lag, no crashes, nothing. Furthermore the game feels VERY FINISHED!.. It's totally worth buying.

note: I'm a real old-timer SC player. Played them all, enjoyed them all.

This post could not be any farther from the truth. This game is amazing! The only this that takes some getting used to is Sam's voice. If they would have used Michael Ironside, it would take SCB from a 9/10 to a perfect 10.

Since there is no official demo, it's pirating, no matter what YOU choose to call it.

thieving, and getting to know what you're paying for is not the same thing, i was playing pirated TF2 for a while before buying it, and then buying a whole bunch of other games on steam. if there was no pirated game i wouldnt buy it at all
