Night Vision to Sonar

ok, this may sound a little bit silly, but for some reason, I can't switch from night vision goggles to sonar goggles even when I press "X" in the selection wheel. I haven't changed any of the key bindings, so does anyone know what may be happening? Thanks in advance for any help :)

Did you actually buy the sonar goggles first? They're $10k or something unless you wait until the mission where they want you to have them, then the price drops to free.

aww snap, I impulse bought many things from Charlie's upgrade shop XD lol so you're telling me during that mission, the sonar goggles can be switched to, but not before it?

lol no worries, I just discovered the sonar goggles are available at the start of the 3rd mission XD

it's probably a bit late - but i had this problem too - and found that I needed to press TRIANGLE on the selection wheel - then you can change to any goggles in mission 2. I too wasted money on the sonar ones!

I have a different situation, I'm well past the point of getting the sonar for free, and it now won't let me equip more than a single pair at a time.

never mind, just had to equip a different pair than the default goggles.
