Transit Yard - Break Window (Perfectionist)

How the hell do you have enough time to take out the two engineers after breaking the window when trying to reenter the train?

I've tried at least a few dozen times and each time, the moment I break into the train, I get insta-killed (literally don't even have time to see the enemies). I have zero time to react and/or take cover.

Not to mention the cover system is broken as it may or may not even let you sticky to cover regardless of pushing the button for it.

Is this part entirely luck based or what?

I had a LOT of trouble with this too bro.

First use an Assault loadout (get a lot of armor). The second you break through that window, crouch. The cover system is buggy in this area so you'll just have to crouch and hope the cover is enough. Try throwing a flashbang as well.

Also, there are multiple windows you can break through. Find the one that will help you the most. It might take some trial and error.

Go to the second window, break in and then head right for cover. You should be able to get into a safe position before they kill you. Worked for me after just two attempts once I figured it out.

I've tried that. I literally do not have time to even move to cover. The second the window breaks and I barely just regain the ability to control, I'm shot to death.

And as stated previously above, the cover system does not appear to work properly in that area.

Edit: Okay... finally cleared it. The trick is to go in crouched and at SLOW movement speed. Any other way will get you shot to death. >_>

the part is somehow bugged on perf.. Just lower the difficulty for this part.

This is so annoying! -_- And I refuse to to lower the difficulty.
That no game tester has noticed, and reported this, is somewhat baffling. I do have VERY little armor in my setup, But that is balanced out with great load out options and stealth. I have gotten gold panther on nearly every level with ease(and patience) on perfectionist.

Being forced out of ones comfort-zone is okay. But forcing one to have a completely different load-out, near (what i believe is) the end of the mission... ARGH!! :(

I'm not sure that I want to call it game breaking. But it's pretty darn close!
By all means; Make it difficult! But getting killed within a tenth of a second after getting your control back? That's just mean.
At least let me pop a smoke in there first!

I was also stuck there, I was doing the missions without killing people on perfectionist. I never needed armor so I didn't have any. I had a sniper, crossbow and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ pistol. Crouch when you break the 2nd window and pray to the RNG gods that they miss a few shots. After that you need to pray that you don't miss.

Took me 20ish tries, this part is seriously broken. It's strange that after all those missions of going in sneaky, Sam suddenly decides that THIS time he's running head first into bullets. you can't even shoot them from outside or use the tri-rotor.

Yeah, I got through it yesterday on pure luck too.. After 20-30 tries..
Shouldn't have to grind and grind on one part until lady luck smiles.

I recommend using 'Z' to call them farther from the second window. This helped me after about 5 unsuccessful tries.

I have also had constant annoyance from this part, i've generally always gone for the second window and try to get into cover before i get killed (which still happens), you just have to be quick.

Trick i used was to fire my weapon at the very beginning of the cart, then when they more to that i move to the far end and brake the last window

You can counter this obviously untested portion of the game by firing a sleeping gas bolt on top of the train directly above where the guys are standing.

Gas bolt on the roof worked great! Thanks for that tip. Also, I found that I could do it by just taking cover through the 2nd window.

If you don't take cover right away, you die every single time.

Flashbang and sleeping gas is how I dealt with that entire train. That window leap can be a bit dodgy though yeah.

Yea I agree with albino, tricky leap but if you get it just spam stuning items to the npcs
