buy it for pc
Game is working fine for me. Oh wait, you don't even own the game, you're one of "those" people.
As for hackers, previous Splinter Cell games had good communities. I am sure this one will stay clean as well. I have played its MP for almost 20 hours now, haven't encountered any hackers or game breaking exploits. Even if it does get cheaters later on, you always have the option to create private matches between your friends. Doesn't take much effort to find 3 other people to play with you for SvM.
Controls are fine - supports both kb/m and controllers. I own consoles, but decided to go with PC. Don't regret it at all. It's pretty active, get it while it stays active for another month.
^ Joke post. PC version is fully DX11 rendered and looks far superior. Consoles would cough blood if they try to run this. Ubisoft said itself that if people want PS4/Xbox One version, they should just get it on PC because they have no plans for next-gen port.
This is from MY experience.
Positives for PC:
Better frames, way better graphics, and dual support for M&K and controller
Negatives for PC:
Have to use Uplay, smaller community (could get even smaller over time until sale on steam), and had problems with ports (but that is on my end).
So yea, this is just my experience and only problem I have ran into were the ports and not being able to connect to my friends but I fixed it in the end.
I have a gtx 680, the game is an excellent port. Settings/buttons work fine for me. See, we can do this all day long. There are posts on how to correct the buttons not working. I'm assuming you're using a controller? If so, see my post under the stickied thread about controllers issue.
^ This. Remember, next-gen consoles are around the corner so the life span of current MP games on consoles will die pretty fast. MS is also known for shutting down XBL servers after couple of years on games like they have done in the past. On PC, game servers stay up for decades so it becomes a better purchase in the long run.
Seriously, the game plays quite well on PC. As far as it being a bad port, no it's not. With DX11 support and native 1080p it looks much better on a good PC.
