Now, you may understand that using a PC I already do have a keyboard and mouse that I'm actually using right now to reply to your post. I guess the fact this game was developped for consoles with a gamepad in mind makes the use of a kiddie gamepad more logic than crappy k+m controls. Hell, there is even a "aim assist" option... says a lot ( good or bad )...
Sorry to burst your bubble, but this is no SC: CT. K+M aren't suported as they used to be. I tried them and they suck. The forward key stops working from time to time and some keys register when ever they feel inclined to do so. Mouse is great though. But I keep trying changing my speed by rotating my middle mouse button wheel... wonder why... :)
But I intended to play it with my gamepad anyway ;)
And love the AD ref: Bob Loblaw. :)
@HawkeyeLonewolf: There's no such thing as a single control scheme that's perfect for everything. Just as gamepads are crap for shooters, keyboards are crap for stealth games. The simplistic binary input of the keyboard makes subtle creeping impossible.
Most PC gamers know that if you want to get the most out of a game, you need the right tool for the job. For a shooter, that means m+k. For a car game, that means a racing wheel. For a stealth game, that means a gamepad. That kind of versatility is what makes PC so great. Sticking to just one control scheme religiously simply because it's all you know is kinda more of a console mentality, imo.
"That's the kind of versatility is what makes PC so great."
p.s. Before this solution, I tried unplugging and uninstalling Razer Orbweaver with no success. I had them uninstalled but that did not work because Xbox gamepad was still controller "2" and controller one (preferred controller) was set to "none".
