Sooo this game must be poorly optimized...
UPDATE: I changed the game resolution from 1920x1080 to 1600x something (windowed) and run the game very smooth now. i also dont have it on the lowest settings anymore. So if your having problems like me, try it!

My specs are...

Intel i7 3770 cpu @ 3.40ghz
16 gb of ram
nvidia geforce gt 630
I'm even running the 326 beta driver that supposedly helps for this game.

I still only get 25 fps tops on the lowest of everything with AA off and even then it gets choppy....sigh..

Well you do have a laptop with a pretty low end GPU, so I would not expect the best perofrmance.

what a funny person. 630 is not that low end, can run gw2 almost max settings

Ever since AC3 came out, Ubisoft seemed to not care about pc optimization at all. And this thread is kind of useless since, just like AC3, they will not optimize the game any further. Stay tuned for worthless multiplayer patches though.

Also, beware the pc elitist that lurks on the forums, they tend to give generic and spiteful replies such as: "The game is really optimized, I can play it on my [Insert extremely high end pc specs here]", or "What are you talking about? The game runs smoothly on my [Insert 5000$ worth of pc hardware components here]", or the infamous one: "Sorry dude, but even a GTX 560ti is a very low end gpu. You ought to get 2x GTX Titans because I only know how to burn cash to buy upgrades and not tweak the ones I already have".

Ah I misread it. I thought he had a 630m, the laptop version. The desktop version is still not all that great, but performance really depends at what resolution you are trying to play at.

GT 630 WOW.. What a ultimate galaktron mega high master of shadows end card! Of course you should expect high fps from that monster. Poorly optimzed game indeed.

I have pretty much the same specs except im using nvidia geforce gtx 660 and I'm running the game on full ultra no issues

Haha yes, i am well aware. Well i am usually an MMO gamer and this was my first purchase into the splinter cell franchise. It's a shame...i mean my pc isn't complete garbage, should be at least 30+ fps on the lowest with everything off...it's a shame...i guess i learn my mistake with Ubisoft now...
The funny thing is idk if i would rather spend 400$ on a new gpu or just buy a ps4 since atleast with consoles you never have to worry about pc game optimization!!

Got everything at ultra and has not gone below 60 fps yet. Have tried the previous nvidia official driver and yesterdays new beta driver to.

I am trying to run at 1920x1080

GT630 is like a low-end card..

Expect low-end performance.

This guy is using the laptop version of your gpu and with worse cpu specs and even he can play the game:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCzw8yjArcA

Try playing the game with the same settings that he is using, you might get a better framerate than you first did. Settings are at 7:00 in the video.

AND A NOTE TO THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT COMPUTERS AND THEIR CAPABILITIES, DO EVERYONE A FAVOR AND STOP POSTING YOUR ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SPECS. IT'S NOT HELPING.

Thanks so much for trying to help me. I discovered something. It was crappy fps at 1920x1080 but then when i do windowed 1652x929 it got better. I believe hes having no prob running it because he is at 1280x720. I cant seem to manually change my resolution, does anyone know how i can?

I'm sorry, but I can't agree that a game is horribly unoptimized because it doesn't get more than 25 FPS on what is currently a $65 graphics card. Yes, there will be some games like GW2 or WoW or other MMOs (that are much more CPU dependent than GPU dependent) that will get much better frame rates at higher settings. Splinter Cell is not a game like that. They implement high end, GPU-taxing rendering techniques that simply need the GPU horsepower. They can't get by just because you have a grossly overpowered (compared to the GPU) processor.

The problem with your computer, as it relates to Blacklist, is that it is horribly unbalanced. You have a $300 CPU and you paired it up with a $65 graphics card. You would have been much better off dropping that CPU down a couple of notches, to something like a 3570 or a 3470 or a 3350, cutting the RAM in half to 8GB, and then using that money on a much better graphics card. No, I'm not one of those elitist PC snobs that say you need a $500 graphics card or GTFO, but that doesn't mean that a $65 card isn't laughable, especially considering the CPU you dropped in there.

Now, I'm not sure whether or not your PC had a primary use other than gaming. Maybe you do something else with it, besides gaming, that needed all that CPU horsepower and that 16GB of memory. Maybe gaming was just a side thought and that would justify such an expensive CPU compared to the GPU. But if gaming was what you had in mind for that system then you spent way too much on only 1 component. There are plenty of games out there that just need GPU horsepower and can't compensate for that need with an abundance of CPU horsepower.
