uplay promo code not working

my friend just bought a new graphics card from amazon and it came with 3 free games and this being one of them, he gave me the promo code for this game and it doesnt work, he says to add at the checkout screen wehre it says "Have a promo code? click here to redeem".

i put in the promo code and the page pretty much just refreshes, the price stays the same and the promo code box goes away and is empty again, no error messages saying it didnt work or anything.

i contacted customer support for uplay but i doubt theyre just gonna give me a new one

Are you on a mobile device? I think mine was doing that as well, and when I tried on my computer it worked.

maybe try it on your computer, it took a little bit of messing around and I finally got both of my codes to work properly.

ive been trying it on my computer, maybe i should wait a couple days for them to activate the code first or something?

if anyone was still interested, i finally got a response from ubisoft, apparently i have to type in the code manually then i get an invalid promo code error, it also says i need the link from the emial that adds the game straight to my cart

Are you trying to put in the 24 digit code that was on the card? You actually have to go to the GE-Force site and enter the 24 digit code there. They will then give you an 8 digit code to use on the uplay site. I just went throught his same thing myself. www.GeForce.com/HOLIDAYBUNDLE is the link to go to. There are instructions on how to retrieve your game. Hope that helps!

now i got it working. they sent me a link that put the game directly in the cart at uplay and had to use all capital letters and type it manually, not pasting and copying the promo code, it was for the deluxe edition too

when i contacted ubisoft customer service they had sent me a link with the game arelady in the cart and it was the deluxe edition, ive been trying the regular edition, i had to manually type in the code in the promo box in all caps and click the apply button, not press enter
