How to Disable Ubisoft Autopatch?

Every single time I start this game an autopatch program runs and downloads some huge file. Then it tells me there are patches and if I agree to continue then I get to run the same installer that takes 15 minutes (to apparantly do absolutely nothing) since every single time I run this game this same sequence of events occur.

I'd rather not get patches and game updates at all if I have to endure this non-sense every time I want to play the game!

but so far, i couldn't even install the first patch, the setup just freezes

How many times have you had to do it? The way it (unfortunately works) is that it does incremental patches that only trigger when you restart uplay. I believe there were 3 of them for me, so the first 3 times I closed Uplay then went back to the game it asked me to install a patch. Seems to be over now though!

I only loaded the game up 3 times and all three times it told me there was patches and those kick-off an installer which does complete successfully. I was assuming that it was installing the same patches each time but maybe this isn't the case. I'll try to launch the game a few more times and let the patches run through and see what happens.

Yestarday I installed the game and there were 3 patches (925mb, 508mb and 400mb). So just install one then restart uplay then install the second one and do the same with the last patch. After that it should run without problems! :)

I just want t play AC2 but every time i start it, auto patch starts and AC2 doesnt
