Are save files stored on local PC?

I finished the SP campaign and built up a large armory/bank balance in-game but I recently bought a new PC and on installing SCB via Steam, I found that my progress did not make it over; I'd have to start over. It appears that neither Steam, nor Uplay have my savefiles. I can access my old C drive but in Documents/Ubisoft/Blacklist I see one folder, Save/SAMFISHER, which has no content. Can anyone point me at where I might find a save file to bring across to the corresponding location in my new install, or is there any other way to restore my progress? Thanks!

It's in :
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\#number\#numbers\

Many thanks. Got it up and running finally. It's not exactly intuitive, is it, especially when most games store save data in user files. FWIW, 449 is the numerical name of the file with saves for those with Steam installs. Thanks again for your help.

If you didnt back up your saves? then they are lost.
