Ok, you obviously misunderstood me. I meant the challenge, not the playstyle walkthrough.
You're quite right, mate. Smuggler's Compound, although very troublesome, IS POSSIBLE to get undetected and non-lethal, as long as the drone operator eliminates all enemies quickly while the grounded player has to remain out of sight (ANY red detection marker should be avoided, doesn't matter if full or not).
But Abandoned City is just impossible. I've tried it co-op more than 10 times I think, but there's just no way to do it. Me and my partner even managed to clear the extraction area without being detected (with sleep gas and stun mines) until the custscene played.
Though, as I'm writing this, I wonder if, once you and you're partner enter the scripted cutscene, it's possible to kill ALL enemies, before their red meters even start to appear. That seems to be what worked for Smuggler's Compound.
The roof top ending is extremely buggy. I've played w/ three different people; two from the US one from India. The ending result in several attempts was we got stuck. Soft locked.
The drones endlessly attacking us and we died unable to move.
Or we killed the drones and human enemies but the mission never ended. We even waited 10-15m. Very deflating after what was by then probably an hour of play.
But we were soft locked. After several hours it was massive letdown.
This was the result on more than 2 occasions.
IDK if it's the internet connection or just how it's supposed to work, but on some occasions
I could move enough to shoot more and on others I was wholly immobile and once the drones began one or both of us just died endlessly and finally gave up.
The Briggs coop missions are novice-professional only.
Don't even think about perfectionist. HA! Tried that w/ my friend from India exactly
once at his request. We did fine until the roof. The drones were more endless and
only 2 hits and one or both of us were killed. It was a ♥♥♥♥ show of permadeath.
Especially since you get no ammo reloads on perfectionist.
