Confused about the ending

Ok so I just beat the game. At the end, Majid Sadiq flaunts his victory by stating that if Fisher kills him, the 12 nations backing the Engineers will rise, and if Fisher captures him, then Sadiq will "spill everything he knows."

What we actually see happen is Sadiq is unofficially imprisoned yet announced dead to the world, right? So then, what will stop the 12 nations from rising up in war against America? For all they know, Sadiq is dead. So maybe I'm missing something but if anyone can clue me in on the logic here...

Also, I'm not exactly sure what the motivation behind Sadiq's actions are. Do they really just boil down to wanting America to back down from its military interventionism across the globe?

I think that's the idea, though. The idea that if they say Sadiq's dead but don't actually provide any evidence to it (Dead body, bloody weapon, etc.) then they'll think that captured him. And that is what happened.

As for the motivations. I have no idea. But do crazy people ever really have a real reson for trying to destroy a country?

Hm, that actually makes sense. At the same time, I wish they hadn't rushed the ending the way they did. I enjoyed the story.

I took it as just a bluff on Sadiq's part, you know, how a dying/captured person will just start spouting nonsense just to save their own hides. They'll try anything in a desperate situation. Yelling that at Fisher was just his way of trying to bluff his way out of captivity and/or a last parting shot at Sam. Sadiq's crazy. I wouldn't put much value on what he has to say.

his motivation ws to gain access to all the US Government and military's data to use for rather bad purposes.
Probably to sell to the highest bidder or to further a cause
