Hard Time Playing w/o Ironside as the Voice of Sam

I got into the Splinter Cells around the time of Chaos theory, meaning I have about 3 or 4 already under my belt.

With that I have become very accustom to the unique voice that is Michael Ironside for Sam Fisher. With this newest Splinter Cell, the removal of Ironside, I actually have trouble playing the game. I just can't stand the replacement voice.

And what's even worst, here's the stupid reason

"With Blacklist's focus on agile forward-movement, Ubisoft needed an actor capable of motion capture and performance. Consequently, the 62-year-old Ironside is out, and 32-year-old Eric Johnson, known for his role as Whitney Fordman on Smallville, is the new Sam Fisher"

Really Ubisoft? You couldn't find a way to work around this? Sam is old in the game to (I really hate Ubisoft right now)

I concur; it is the largest flaw in the game.

To expand further: The game itself is OK, even great - but I can't imagine I'll continue with the series if they don't change back. It's just not the same.

Well and playing it, it just doesn't feel the same. I couldn't get into it like I did earlier titles. Chaos Theory is bad ass. Double Agent ... sorry lost my lunch (never finished), and Conviction wasn't bad.

I need to get my hands on Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell 2, and Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow. Especially if they offer what Chaos Theory did

Not game ruining but I agree. This guy doesn't achieve the same chilling audio as Ironside. It has a certain deepness missing to it. I'm sure their is a better word but he just sounds "younger" now.

Capture motion with one actor, voice with the old one. It was an easy fix for them.

They said it would be hard, but if this guy is as good as they say he is, it would be possible.

I actually watch a video, the first time they came to Ironside to do the voice, he read it and was like, "this guy is flat and boring". So they asked him how they oculd make it better. So Ironside helped develop Sam
