Did you happen to click on anything while waiting for the game to launch? That can cause the game to launch on windowed mode. Other than that though, I don't really know what the problem is on your end.

Go to:

"C:\Users\Your User Name\Documents\Ubisoft\Blacklist\videoSettings.ini"

and open this File. You will find the following entry in the fourth line: "WindowStyleFinal=1 ".
Change the 1 to 2 so it should look like this: "WindowStyleFinal=2". Now save the File and make it Read-only in the Properties.

thanks. i didnt try out the above, but it corrected by itself.

by the way, is there a way to save missions, mid game or to enable checkpoint n the non detection rounds. like the chechnya one. i keep gettin gdetected and game starts from beginning??!!!

The game does not have any manual save function because it''s not necessary. There are checkpoints in the main missions, where you can continue after you close the game. For 4E missions, some have checkpoints but you can't continue after you close the game. For Grimm Missions, there are no checkpoints because the whole point of the mission is to stay undetected while you hack. In Charlie Missions, it's wave-based and if you die at a certain wave, you will restart at that wave. You can resume waves after closing the game after each 5 waves (wave 1, 6, 11, 16). For Kobin missions, there are two areas you need to clear. There is a checkpoint after you reach the second area and if you close the game before clearing the second area, you have to start over afterwards.

thank you for the explanation.

u know, i bought this game for 15 $ and expected a good game. but the non or lack of saving was so frustrating, i just uninstalled it.!!!! i am hating ubisoft so much right now. actually i played 2 grimm missions back to back ans thought this is how the game is going to be.

just tell mw one thing.

is the game worth playing in future missions. i dont care about the money. just my time.

i am thinking of starting deus ex HR

If you ask me, I think it's worth it even at full price. I know it says I only have like 30+ hours playtime, but I usually play the game offline I've actually probably spent over 150 hours it (and I am still playing it to this day). I can't say everyone will like it, cause if you're not a fan of stealth game, then you may not find it to your liking.

One thing I will say though is that do not mistake this for a shooting game solely. The game does give you the option to shoot and kill most of the time. However, the real enjoyment comes from planning your route from A to B, staying undetected and playing without disturbing any hostiles. This is what we refer to as Ghost in the community.

If you find the game bad due to lack of challenge, you should try playing on Perfectionist, without any gadgets, with the radar disabled and wearing the basic stealth suit. That should give you some proper challenge.

Try to look at a few of my videos and adapt some of the ways I play. Maybe it can change your mind afterwards.

Hey, I'm pretty crap at the game, but I do enjoy it.
Can you tell me why I can't stop repeating Hawkins Seafort, one of Grim's missions?
We should totally try to Co op ghost it.
Not perfectionist or anything like that tho, I AM, as I say, pretty crap.

I prefer Billionaire's Yacht myself but sure, if I have the time, we can play co-op.

Probably late tomorrow, or probably today by the time you read this, but I'll hopefully be free most of tomorrow. Just a side note, I'm not actually that far into the game, as I'm lazy and have, as I said, been repeating Hawkins Seafort mostly, but I did have a large amount of money, and because of that bought most equiptment.
Oh, and if we get bored of Hawkins, we could try Billionaire's Yacht.
If you want to.

maybe u have the LOADDDDSSSS Of time n ur life to wste.. i dont.. period.. and wasnt looking for sarcasm., just perspective. and all i wa asking was for ONE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Checkpoint and not Max payne type quicksaves....
Yuio Feb 11, 2016 @ 3:11am
The reason Grim Missions doesn't have any checkpoints is because they are short. It should take you less than 5 minutes for every mission once you know where to go and what to do.
^^shooter^^ Feb 11, 2016 @ 4:10am
hey.. ya completed those missions. thnx to u .. correct. short n sweet missions. now pls give one advice. where NOT to waste moey :PPPP shd i keep pooling to spend on the locked/ black market items. r they worth it? or shd i keep upgrading my assault rifles and suits?
Yuio Feb 11, 2016 @ 7:00am
To be honest, once you replay missions, the money becomes almost irrelevant. As for where to spend them, that depends entirely on your play style. If you prefer the assault style, might as well get some better guns and high armor-rating suit. If you prefer stealth, get some gadgets and better stealth suit. If you prefer challenge like me, buy only goggles and gloves (and some gadgets cause in some missions it's necessary).
