Splinter Cell: Blacklist on Steam Deck
Raising four issues which I am having with Splinter Cell: Blacklist in the hopes that they are seen by Ubisoft representatives.

1. Cannot start the game in offline mode.
I have tried adding to the official link the '-offline -offline_mode' parameters with no succes. I have also tried creating a new link directly to the .exe files in SYSTEM - no luck (complains that the Ubisoft Launcher is not running if I try to run it through it).

2. When starting the game, the Ubisoft launcher keeps asking for my username's password which is annoying to type every single time. Also ended up locking myself out of the account at one point and unable to play the game.

3. Saves are not synched with Ubisoft store/Steam store. If the game is uninstalled, the save files go with it.

4. Game crashes during cutcenes. Very annoying in conjunction with point #2, when trying to jump back in the game.
Tried setting my resolution to 1280x720 - no luck.

Running the latest Steam stable version. Tried leaving with no forced compatibility Proton version, with 8.0-3, experimental, GE-Proton7-55.

Otherwise the game runs great from a performance perspective on the Steam Deck.

It's such a shame that this great game (minus the young angry Fisher) is shackled by the very bad Ubisoft launcher.

Next steps might be just torrenting the RELOADED release and trying my luck with it.

Let me know if anyone has had real luck with it on the Steam Deck.

Cheers

RELOADED version patched to 1.03 works flawlessly on the Steam Deck.

Can play offline, no Ubisoft Launcher login prompt at startup, no random crashes.
On the last point (crashes), possibly related, I edited EyefinityMode=0 in videoSettings.ini file as mentioned on https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Tom_Clancy%27s_Splinter_Cell:_Blacklist

Installed using Heroic Games Launcher and using latest stable Proton (8.0-3).

Looking forward to the GamesAsAService future and good riddance to those pesky pirates who in their actions, admittedly not always honest, are saving our games for the future.
