So how is this game's single player? Does it have a good story?

So I'm interested in this game but how good it is? I am pretty much only going to play it for the story mode by myself so I won't co-op it. How is the story though? Is it good or very generic? Same with the characters how are they? Are there any games that it can be compared to?

I'm an Splinter Cell fan since "Pandora Tomorrow" and one of the better things of all Splinter Cell game is its story. I never have been disapointed about anyone and Blacklist is not the exception.

No problem, just figured it couldn't hurt to try and answer. But yeah, while the gameplay has some issues after a certain amount of playtime, that seems to be an accurate summation.

As someone who's literally been playing Splinter Cell games since the original came out, Blacklist has an amazing single player. Granted, they kept some of the dumb downed mechanics from Conviction, but they also brought back a lot of the older stuff. Its a good mixture of the two. The SP has a decent length campaign with good replayability imo. The story is decent, its not the best in the series, but its not the worst either. Carlo Rota is unbelievable as a bad guy. My only major issue with the game, and its a biggin, is that they replaced Michael Ironside. The new guy is good, but damn if I don't miss Fishers old voice.

Oh damn right, he's not bad, but he's not necessarily a good Fisher, he just doesn't fit the character. I kinda wish we'd get old Sam back in the next one as a new Lambert, and maybe someone like Briggs as a main character, Kestrel, who knows.

It's NOT just a modern military shooter. There are parts that you have to take out hostiles but most of the game can be ghosted. Yes ghosted! No kos in many missions!
