Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist

Online Co-Op is not currently working.
Is anyone else having this problem? A friend and I are trying to play the Co-Op 4E missions, but both of us get an error message, being this one: "The Splinter Cell Blacklist service is not availible. Please try again later." Needless to say, I've tried later in the day and nothing different has happened. I have tried a handful of fixes from fourms in the past, none have worked. I have also tried joining a SVM match, same error message. Any help is appriciated, thanks.

I actually had a nice chat with a Ubi support staff. He said that everything is running as intended but it wouldn't explain why the community is having issues . He mentioned that it could be "degradation of the game's services, that it can happen on occasion and that usually it's resolved on it's own." He also assured me that he submitted this information over to the team.

Hopefully this gets resolved soon.

That's good. I myself has had my customer support agent write me back on some more fixes to try, which I will be trying in just a couple moments.

I experience the same issues with Deluxe version i purchased via Steam. Fun thing is: old version (not deluxe) i purchased via Uplay works just fine.

No idea what causes all this, but i'm pretty sure it doesn't have anything to do with port forwading or DNS.

Now i feel bad i didnt play the co-op sooner, i had bought this 2 months back and started playing it a few days ago before this happened xD.

Me and a friend are having the same issue, we play from Costa Rica but he got the game on steam and mine is in Uplay

I've tried /flushdns just in case
and verify the files from the game

Nothing have work so far,
if you find out something or the servers are up again,
please let us know

Here is a solution that worked for me.

1. Uninstall uPlay
2. Download uPlay version 21.1.1.4898. I just googled uPlay old version and was one of the top links (It's not brain surgery)
3. Install the old version but do not select launch uPlay...This is very important.
If you launch uPlay it will automatically update itself to the newest version which is the one giving the problems from what I have gathered.
So step 4.... Go to your uPlay destination folder (For me on Windows 10 it was C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher and open version.txt. Delete the contects of the notepad and type 5397 then save and close.
Step 5. Lets go play

Can confirm that this works,

It's a problem with the latest update
I had a backup of the installer for version 38.0.1.5381 (version 5381)

It works with that one too,
it's the latest update the one with the problem.

Thanks for the solution

THIS WORKS. Can confirm on my end that this 100% works. I tried a fix extremely simmilar to this, however the guide had me put in different numbers instead of "5397", which I now see was the problem. I will be keeping this entire thread up, now that everyone can (hopefully) play the
multiplayer aspect of the game once again. Thanks a lot for this fix, friend.

=== DISCLAIMER: I don't know if this effects the other UPlay games such as R6, I would assume it could given you are changing the UPlay version, but my friend will verify when he does this fix and goes to play it sometime.
