Anybody have luck fixing crashing ? [Blacklist_DX11_game.exe stopped working]

I have been so looking forward to playing this game (again) since my PS3 days and getting a lot of random in game crashing with the DX11 error. //

So far I have:

*Validated the download (steam) and came back clean.
*I pretty much cut off all Uplay settings - and in offline mode
*In game advanced video setting set to DX 9 -
*run game from steam menu/not Uplay

Now instead of Blacklist_DX11_game.exe stopped working
I get a Blacklist_Game.exe stopped working.

issues seem common cause it looks like this has been an issue dating back to 2013.

I don't play online I just really enjoy the SP experience.
Plays great 60 FPS - Temps normal..really smooth then just stops working got to be something minor causing this stupid crash.

Would it be possible to run this game without Uplay ?. Can I just delete Uplay all together ..for sone reason I feel like it has sonething to do with this.

No. Uplay is the DRM portion of the install. If you kill uplay in game for example it exits the game immediately. You may even get to a point where uplay logs you out and SC will not run at all until you log in once then go offline more. That has happend to me before.

Uninstall Uplay and reinstall it.

I will try I have spent nearly an entire day working on this error. It is relentless were you having the same issue ...did that work ?

uPlay causes a LOT of headaches for people who play SC:BL and uninstalling and reinstalling it tends to be one of many ways to fix problems.

Google for your crash error message "Blacklist_DX11_game.exe stopped working"
found dozens if not hundreds of similar or same issue.

Also, a lot of people report that going into their tom clancy's splintercell/src/system folder and removing the systemdetection.dll file. *MAKE A BACKUP BEFORE YOU DO*
OR just rename it with .OLD on the end works too. For steam games it's under
*your drive letter*:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist\src\SYSTEM

This seems to have helped some.

Hopefully, you will hit on the right fix or combination somewhere in those threads.

Thank you for your time. I have been to all of them once and have tried even more fixes with no avail. I plan to either buy the disk copy and avoid any uodates (supposedly) this is a 1.3 issue ...or im going to bootleg it.

Ok so like when I try to run it, it starts up like normal but it never comes up. I can sometimes find it under the task manager but not even that helps because other than that it's no where to be found. I just rebooted uplay and suddenly when i tried launching it (i have an AMD Rizen 7) the CPU hit up to 100%. this really sucks man...

There are tons of endless 'solutions' to these issues that all end with the same result...broken. Uplay has to be the problem. I've exhausted any hope to make this game work with out it crashing out. All my other Steam games olay perfect.

Yeah we're on the same page. I really enjoyed this games singleplayer I could play charlie survival missions all day very upset it will not work. I already refunded and uninstalled. I wont be buying Ubisoft games on PC anymore too much hassle and once the game becomes aged Ubisoft WILL NOT fix their issues but will be happy to STILL sell it to you
