idk why but it works, after weeks of tweaking lol

First and foremost

You need to find your Splinter cell installation folder, you can do this by right clicking splinter cell blacklist icon on your steam library, little window will show up click on properties, one more window will open, switch/click on Local files tab, find "browse" button, click on browse button. after that you can follow the instructions below.

1. Navigate to the Splinter Cell Blacklist "SYSTEM" folder.
   
   
2. Locate Blacklist_Game.exe or Blacklist DX11
   
   
3. Create a Blacklist_Game.exe or Blacklist DX11 shortcut on your desktop whichever version you want to use.
   
   
4. Right click on the shortcut you just made and select Properties.
   
   
5. Add this command at the end of the target -offline -offline_mode

so it will look like this : "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist\src\SYSTEM\Blacklist_game.exe" -offline -offline_mode

Apparently according to other players, you can also do this in steam launch options

edit : i see that some people are having a hard time finding Sc installation folder, i added more instructions... also 2025 update, i added a steam launcher fix tutorial and clear animated gif instruction for both shortcut method and steam launcher option to clear things up..thanks to franksterboy for the suggestion :")

For me this worked for a long time. But I have since a few months the same crashes after 20-30 minutes as before, even using the offline -offline_mode. I have Win 11.
Does anyone have a solution?

It works just as well by adding it as a launch option through steam, so you don't have to mess around with shortcuts.

So glad I didn't have to deal with trying to get a refund. 0_o

Facing the same issue, game crashes randomly. I'm kind of a PC noob, can someone please explain how to add this to the launch options. Do I just have to type "-offline -offline_mode" in the launch options within the game's properties?

if you go to the launcher click the three dots and go to properties and add it to the launch arguments it should work did for me at least and thats if u have it on the ubisoft launcher like me

Wat worked for me was to rename systemdetection.dll file. any name works. i have not try to delete file.

Yup. Steam saves it itself. You type it and close the steam properties box. If you open it back up it'll still be there.
