Regarding this error - I can acctualy see file "libcef.dll" in the ubi folder, same as "libcef.old" as well. But i dont like to touch these files. Like i said, i played the game normaly. I installed it 3 times and uninstalled it because of this error message..
I will try that as soon as i download it again on my library. I need 7 hours for that. The game is around 19.6GB need time.. Thanks Vangerdahast!!!!! I will tell you if that helps...
Did fix it?
1- right click on the game in the library and choose "Properties"
2 - from there i chose "Local Files" tab
3 - and I click on the button "verify integrity of the game files"
The proces has finished succesfully !!!
But when I click on the game icon to start the game, UBI says something like service not available at a moment (except first time it required user and pass which i filled in).. and I am getting the following message:
"The procedure entry point cef_browser_create_sync could not be located in the dynamic link library libcef.dll"
So it didnt work I cannot play this game anymore.
After installing the UPlay launcher from their site, I was able to launch the game without that error.
Just a heads up, you'll need to log into a UPlay account and claim the game key from Steam in order to play it. Even if you launch the game from Steam, it'll open the Uplay launcher with the login.
If you've bought any other Ubisoft games like Assassin's Creed, Watchdogs, or Far Cry you'd probably be better off finding your original account and adding the game key to the same account. I'm not sure what their policy is on moving games between accounts.
Make sure to create an Ubisoft account if you need to. Steam can link with that account so finding the game key isn't necessary, the two accounts will transfer that data. Things should go smoothly from there.
I find the idea around separate launchers annoying and an unnecessary evil. A real shame continually being advertised to after you've shelled out hard money for your game. Adds implementation complexity, which introduces an additional surface for bugs.
