Bug Fixing
Some critical bugs have been fixed for 1.0.1

  • Fixed a crash at start up if the installation path has non-ASCII characters.

  • Fixed a crash if audio failed and a disc block is presented.

  • Fixed a crash when saving if there are a lot of bullets flying. (distributed tactics map)

  • Fixed a crash when saving if enemy has split.

  • Primitive enemy stuck at "material pipeline" - Enhanced stuck detection, which allows enemy self destruct when stuck.

  • aircrafts => aircraft

  • Nan detection. Nan was causing stuck waves and some performance issues.

  • Added audio bank loading fallback.

  • Fixed a crash if you build a unit from weapons factory and immediately remove a block in the middle once it comes out, making it split.

  • Fixed an issue causing corrupted save. Caused by missing attacking target reference, after commanding a unit with late-stage advanced blocks. When the target gets destroyed, the target lock-on is not cleared. This was causing corrupted save.

  • Fixed crash at departure port animation, when playing a loaded save. (distributed tactics map)

  • Fixed issues relating to panel viewing in save/loading. This was causing mission text to disappear. And potential crash when loading up main menu, as well as crash when saving at arbitrary location.

  • Fixed a crash relating to octahedron small piece attraction mechanism.

  • Enhanced crash dump.


Changes for 1.0.2

  • Fixed the bugs with Timeline, where the check box options causing confusion. When traditional mode is selected, a save slot with multiple save points can't be loaded(gray button). When ancestor only is selected, the list is empty when loading a game in main menu.

  • Fixed potential crashes. (related to sandbox, audio)

  • Added the ability to rename units in Invention Database and in unit selection.

  • Fixed Invention Database reset failure.

  • Fixed certain custom made units stuck when spawning from Air Attack Panel in sandbox.


Looking for more bugs to fix.
  • If you have corrupted save(game crashes when loading), it will help a lot if you can email it to feedback@laboratory.systems. The save file can be located in GameFolder/saves/SteamIDNumber
  • If the game crashes. See if you can find a mdmp file in the game folder. Send the mdmp file in the game folder to feedback@laboratory.systems. This will help.
    If no mdmp can be found and this issue can be produced easily. Please do it in labtd_x86.exe, the 32bit version which will make a mdmp in all scenarios.

I realy like this game but my antivirus doesn`t
Trying to start this game up today sends it into the virus container due to "suspicious behaviour" (something along the lines of "IPD.Generic") vs starting up and runing just fine yesterday.

Please add FPS limiter option to video options. My RTX 2060 runs the game above 500fps. I can cap it externally but heard that this introduces input lag, and the optimal way to cap fps in a game is if the game has its own ingame limiter.

Edit 1:
My card starts going above 70c but when i minimize it quickly goes down to 50. I think I bsoded earlier maybe overheat?

Edit 2: enabling vsync capped it to 120fps since my monitor is 120hz my gpu temps (no crashing) 54-56c

The furthest I get is the main menu. Instant crash after that. Somtimes it already crashes on the "hardware check"-screen. :( Don't know what to do. Tried running it as administrator.

Have you played the sandbox before? Just wanted to make sure it is not the sandbox save.
Can you run labtd_x86.exe (the 32-bit version) and send me the mdmp file after the crash?

my crashing seemed to be a corrupt save i deleted it and then it would save, Good game but little short beat the story in like 8 hours

Emailed a mdmp file earlier today. Consistent, 100% crash on save. Simply play geometry Combinations until the 1st autosave point (ie: advancing with the control module)

I have tracked the crash in the code with the mdmp. Thanks for the crash dump. It is when the automatic assembly system is about to finish right?
Well, it is not 100% sensible how this could occur (given the logic of code). But I have safe guarded the portion of the code.

Could you put these English patch notes together with the Chinese announcement ones? No reason why these should be forum-only. Sega does this for example.

Um i Cant really PLAY the game because whenever i hit the play button 2 windows come up, one says "Preparing to launch" and the other is if you wanna just play or open the launch tools window and if i click the X mark on either one it just doesnt work
so if somebody could help me on this then that would be appreciative!
