Super chill fishing game with pretty, colourful surroundings and pleasant ambient sounds.

About 8 hours worth of laid back, zero danger and zero challenge fishing - you'll be spending about 95% of your time on fishing or sailing between your restaurant, fishing spots and traders and the last tiny bit on cooking. There are upgrades to buy for the money made from cooking meals and you'll be able to fish with a fishing rod, net, spear and crab pots. The fishing mini games are neither frustrating nor challenging, which makes the fishing far more relaxed than in many other games I've tried fishing in. The background music is fairly quiet and non-intrusive but can be turned off separately from other sounds (which I did).

Overall I just enjoyed sitting around listening to the sounds of the waves and the tug-tug-tug when sailing and the game has just the right length to not outstay it's welcome. If you're looking for a game with a story or quests to give you incentives to fish/progress, you'll not find it here. This game is more all about fishing for the sake of well...fishing and relaxing while doing it. :)

As an added bonus the dev is very responsive - especially on discord - and spent their Saturday replying to questions and fixing bugs. Always lovely to see that kind of dev activity after a game's release. :)

Heads-up to achievement hunters:
Make sure to unlock all meals/upgrades before upgrading your restaurant. When buying the restaurant upgrade you're sent to a new area and can't return to any previous areas. I didn't unlock my level 1 upgrades until I had moved onto area 2, so I'll have to start a new game to get the last achievement: "Buy all upgrades in level 1". (Unsure if the dev will change the criteria so you get the achievement no matter when you buy the level 1 upgrades, but currently you have to do it while in the first area)

Have you always wanted to live your own life as a fisherman on the wide sea/oceans and catch fish with your boat, sell them or process them into dishes? Then you should definitely read on, because this game could be just right for you.

Back then, fishermen were real heroes. "They often risked their lives at sea." It's not much different today. Fishermen work in almost any weather, in wind and waves, heat and cold, on a swaying ship in nature. The planks on board are slippery, that The water is often freezing and the full nets are heavy, making it practically impossible to work a regular eight-hour day in the fisheries.

Common fishing methods include trawls, bottom trawls, drift and gillnets, and longlines. Trawling and bottom trawling are particularly important in the North Sea, while gillnet fishing is very common in the Baltic Sea. The nets are attached to two skids like a sled that is pulled across the seabed. Iron chains fastened between the runners ensure that the fish living on the seabed are disturbed and “go into the net”.

In the game we drive our boat on the sea, catch fish, sell them or exchange them for other food or process them into meals. Of course, earning money is also part of it, because a boat has to be maintained or improved in order to catch other fish or larger chunks with it. The day/night cycle has also been well integrated.

Du wolltest schon immer einmal auf dem weiten Meer/Ozeane dein eigenes Leben als Fischer leben und mit deinem Boot Fische fangen, diese verkaufen oder zu Gerichten weiter verarbeiten? Dann solltest du unbedingt weiter lesen, den dieses Spiel könnte genau richtig für dich sein.

Damals waren Fischer richtige Helden. " Auf dem Meer riskierten sie oft ihr Leben.“ Heute ist das nicht viel anders. Fischer arbeiten bei nahezu jedem Wetter, bei Wind und Wellen, Hitze und Kälte, auf einem schwankenden Schiff in der Natur. Die Planken an Bord sind rutschig, das Wasser häufig eiskalt und die vollen Netze schwer. Ein geregelter Acht-Stunden-Tag ist in der Fischerei praktisch unmöglich.

Zu den gängigen Fangmethoden gehören Schleppnetze, Grundschleppnetze, Treib- und Stellnetze sowie Langleinen. Für die Nordsee ist vor allem die Schleppnetz-, und Grundschleppnetzfischerei von Bedeutung, während in der Ostsee sehr viel mit Stellnetzen gefischt wird. Die Netze sind auf zwei Kufen wie auf einem Schlitten befestigt, der über den Meeresboden gezogen wird. Eisenketten, die zwischen den Kufen befestigt sind, sorgen dafür, dass die am Meeresgrund lebenden Fische aufgescheucht werden und „ins Netz gehen“.

In dem Spiel fahren wir mit unserem Boot auf dem Meer, fangen Fische, verkaufen diese oder tauschen diese gegen andere Lebensmittel ein oder verarbeiten diese zu Mahlzeiten. Geld verdienen gehört natürlich auch dazu, den ein Boot muss unterhalten werden oder verbessert eben um andere Fische oder größere Brocken damit zu fangen. Der Tag/Nacht Zirkel wurde ebenfalls gut integriert.

Cool relaxing game. There is nothing in the game that would cause irritation. I advise you to play all who want to relax after work. Especially liked the mechanics of cooking, very fun to combine different products.

Small simple fishing game. Can me repetitive at times, when getting ingredients for dishes. Are a few small bugs on the visuals at times, but nothing game breaking. Decent game, would recommend during a sale.
