Summon Vehicle Disappears
The last time I quit the game and then reentered my Summon Vehicle disappeared. Build another one then saved the game while at the warp gate, failed to notice that my food/water ran out and died. Reloaded the last save at the warp gate and again my Summon Vehicle had disappeared. Am I missing something or is that a bug? If its a bug where do you report it?
Thanks

Happened to me as well.
Hopped out, saved, and then went through. Reloaded save a before the gate and the ship was gone

After you warped immediatly enter a station and save. You will notice you cannot even select save until you do. Something strange is happening sometimes when you do die between warping and entering a station and to the next autosave (hence my suggestion to manually save).

Keep in mind that the "Unstuck" functionality is porting you back to the emergency capsule even from another map. Thats your last resort mechanism in case you are stranded on another map.

Also keep in mind that your summon lose health when warping. Repair it immediatly after warps. It's wise to keep some repair kits in the summon (I wished I could place them into the modules in some dedicated slots and that they would stack but they don't).

When they disabled the auto save (off by default), they did not disable the 'part' auto save when you warp (your ship gets saved)

so if you reload/unstuck after a warp, your ship will still be in the old zone. You have to warp back and 'save' or you ship will still be in the other warp location

They also need to tell player more clearly, warping = damage to the ship, cause some people 'crash' when they warp and end back at their base, cause their ship explodes when warping as its already too damaged at the start

My ship first disappeared after returning to the vehicle bay from the warp. Is this what your talking about. After I lost my first ship I had enough items to rebuild a new ship and I did return to the zone I had previously visited. I did not see a ship there. Am I missing something. EDIT. I did save the game in my home base followed by the first ship disappearance at the next reload.
Thanks..

they didn't remove it... they put a switch on it and set it off by default... if you want auto-saving, you can easily turn it back on in the settings...

FWIW: hopefully we'll see a change in the save mechanism that splits automatic and manual saves into separate save files for the current game slot being played...

Not sure about the disappearing, but keeping your summon at good health is always a good idea.
I recommend two actions:
  • update your summon with your best health upgrade (I believe T2 is max)
  • use Repair Tool Kits to repair your damaged summon (have it in your personal inventory and look in the modules screen of the summon ;)

This just happened to me. I have basically finished the game and gotten every advancement (except the return to base 50 times, because apparently it doesn't count docking), and I wanted to mine nanites in the new zones. I warped and began exploring in the fully loaded Summon (all the upgraded modules and supplies, like 5 extra batteries in T3 storage), but the game froze and eventually crashed. I rebooted to find myself in my dock but no Summon in sight. This is a pretty catastrophic loss. I will not rebuild so many items at this point. So, this ends my game play. A sad ending. But that said, I am looking forward to MUCH more content (hopefully) once you are out of early access.

Yeah, I agree, between this and the lack of fiber it will probably end it for me as well.

Same thing happened to me (losing Summoner vehicle) however it was not upon warping, it was upon dying for no reason. Had full health and water/food were full as well. Red edges on screen and sound indicated I was taking damage, but my health bar was full and I was in Oxygen. Dies, respawned, no Summoner. This happened twice now.

Ya I'm out too. Summon disappeared, fully upgraded and not interested in rebuilding it. Still haven't found the third auto miner fragment due to bug in the cave. Ill do a rerun when this game gets more stable.

im also done.. BUT i did rebuilt my summon only to find it out on save and loading again it nice again was gone...

seems no matter what i do im not allowed to have a summon anymore once you go through the stargate your game is just broken (they honestly just shouldn't allow us to use the stargate until theres something on the other side or until its fixed)

FWIW: there is some mineable materials on the other side of the warp gate... i have a base over there harvesting stuff...

i have no idea why some players have problems with the gates... i've been back and forth numerous times with no problems... i hate it for those having these problems...

The issue can be recreated by warping somewhere (not saving) and then doing a reload. This will return you to the 'non warp' area but your ship will not.

If you travel back and forth each time, your fine. But warping then reloaded = ship gone.
