Stack sizes
So the corridor miner and the deposit miner will store resources in stacks of 10 and 20, but player inventory is stacks of 5 max, which I can work with, but storage units are also limited to 5 max. Sure T3 backpacks will take actual effort to fill, but I'd kind of like the storage units to also store in lager stacks. Could even have it step up with storage size.
Chest and small wall storage = stacks of 5
Medium storage = stacks of 10
Large storage (assuming that is/will be a thing) = stacks of 20.

Yeah, not a fan of the super low stack size in the Player Inventory.

I think it's fine... It's manageable and I rarely have a problem.. You also get a pretty large vehicle storage

You thinking it's fine doesn't mean others do, clearly. And it wouldn't negatively effect you if they did increase stack size but would make others happier.

This is a never-ending question of how much is enough. Since this is technically a survival game, I don't think have large stacks are beneficial to the gameplay. Also the stack size doesn't play as much of a role as the variety of items. You are just postponing the problem further down the road. Then you have a lot more items to manage, stacks to split, and all that nightmare...
The biggest inventory stacks for resources I've seen are in No Man's Sky - the 9 thousand stack. No one complains about stack sizes in that game. But you see constant complaints about how managing inventory sucks. At some point convenient large inventory turns into a nightmare to manage. There is also a problem that carrying so many items on you can affect performance of the game when you open up inventory.

And note that I did not say I am against increasing the stack size. I think normal stack size in games are usually 10 items, so that would be fine. I also would like to have an extra row on the wall storage. See, understanding why some balancing decisions were made is different from your opinion about it or what you want.

All of that is moot as the OP, and many others I've read on Discord and other platforms, believe that the personal Inventory stack size is too low. I'm sick of this argument of "well actually, it's a Survival game" clearly people have gotten tired of the same old trope of Survival games giving so little storage (I'm NOT saying Astrometica is guilty of this but many are) and are asking for change. Does that mean the Developers will actually change it, who knows. But popping in here to claim it's all fine and part of the design is moot and not helping in any way.

I dislike the player inventory size being limited to 5, but it is one I can accept as little require more then a single stack of something during crafting. Bulk crafting is a bit of a different story, but that only happens in the base and is far more relaxed. It's the base storage being limited to stacks of 5 that is getting me. Expanding player stack sizes would be awesome, but I can work with stacks of 5. Crafting from storage would mean I'd only be concerned about stack sizes when making a new base/outpost.

Did you not read anything past the first sentence or a subtext is lost on you? I will spell it out since it seems to be difficult to read long paragraphs.
- I don't really have an issue with inventory currently in the game
- I would also like to have a larger stack, even if currently I don't have an issue with inventory
- I would also like to have slightly larger wall storage

And following through:
- Any conversation is moot since developers might not implement it in the game, so we should not even bother to talk at all.

Previously, there was 1 piece of an item in 1 invetory cell, and few people complained.

that depends on who you ask... Survival and Permadeath in NMS are quite restrictive in stack size compared to Normal... basically what happens is instead of surviving, you are micromanaging your inventory and having to be tedious with it due to a lack of space... the cost of making other stuff from what you gather also plays into this tedium...

i've never had a problem managing my fully maxed inventories in my 17 NMS saves that i regularly play... once i developed a system, it hasn't been hard or confusing at all... but that's the key, too... develop a system and follow it... my Storage Units have specific names on them denoting the materials they contain...

all my Agriculture stuff is stored in one unit with the items made from those materials in the unit beside... same for Stellar Metals, Trade Goods, etc... these Storage Unit names i get from the data you see when you hover over an item in your inventory or in the UI tab that shows your in-game achievements and progress...

i can see Astrometica being a similar sandbox and exploration/survival game like NMS but it depends on how tight to a story driven game they are aiming for... i have completed everything you can currently do in the Astrometica EA release but i still don't know the story and have no way to read the parts i've found in proper order like they would be if written in a book... that's my main complaint about many story-driven games where we find parts of the story/lore and can read it over and over... they're listed in find order instead of chronological order and that's ugh in my book (pun?)...

full disclosure: i have 3000+ hours in-game in No Man's Sky... only 50something in Subnautica... i still have more to do in Subnautica but i've lost the story and direction more than once... keep finding the same places all the time and haven't found anything new... in NMS i'm always finding something new everywhere i go...

FWIW: suggestions are welcome in the suggestions channel on the official Astrometica discord... there's a lot of discussion in there and Bery does reply to some... filing bug reports in the channel for them also seems to work fairly well...
