My universe is completely out of fabric.

Any chance fabric will become something we can craft? I cannot find a single scrap of it anywhere. I've collected and used alot but after 11 hours I can't find anymore.

yes, most beds can be disassembled and give you 2 fabric and I think something else, like 2 iron plates or something. Some beds cannot: either don't have the prompt or when you try it says "cannot delete object". But most can.

That leaves the question - when the beds are gone, what then? Since the fabric is used in health items, they are quite rare for me too... and speaking of rare: we have a way to get "unlimited" food, what about water? I find it odd, that the fruits give only food, but no water (even when fruits are up to 90% water, at least on earth). Do we have (or could we have) some way to produce water? Mark Whatney comes to mind... he had a water reclaimer ^^

I have received the key as a content creator five days before release of the early access and recorded directly my let´s play in turkish. (All episodes are recorded uploaded and are airing from day to day) I had there tons of fabric so that im mostly dont collected it anymore.

At 08.12 i have then started a livestream series, this time in german, there im as steve weed completely out of fabric. Couldnt craft the engineer suit, later the toxic suit etc. etc. everything what needed fabric had to wait... dont know if its a bug or update/patch thing.

[Between these two there were 2 or 3 update/patches]

and i have completed the game with the turkish lets play (theta-145), that means i know where to get the stuff... (maybe a corrupt savegame thing, dont know)

and you get water from ice that you get from ice asteroids that are everywhere and also respawn.. you have unlimited water...

The last update gave us fabric, go to any bubble that has green grass and there are plants on the ground scrap them and you get a new recipe for cloth.

There is tons of of fiber which becomes fabric, try yellow bubbles.

small leafy plants on the ground at some of the POI, wack with scrapper and use leafs as fiber for cloth at crafting machine.

Check the date. this post was made a week before the update that introduced the fiber and craftable fabric.

The post is only 2 weeks old. It's not necessarily that the people didn't see the date. They may not have known that fabric has only just been introduced to the game. In saying that it's weird when people answer posts from a year or so back.
