I reran the test adding each of the T1 Mods (battery saver, Mining Power, and Mining Speed) until all three were installed. I started each test with a fully charged battery and mined a Silver node.
All three test took 38 seconds and use 41% of the battery. Now if the T1 mods are say a five percent increase, then you may not see or experience a measurable difference.
Now I do know that the T2 and T3 mods make a difference in both Speed of completion and that is measurable.
Hope this info helps.
As to why you should even mess with T1? You basically need them as part of the upgrades to T2 and T3.
There are two locations to work from on the tool mod station.
Slide to left and you will see it.
