you have to take batteries out like you do the tools and then put the batteries into its own special charging thing, so tool batteries go in one that attaches to the wall, and the space car batteries go into the powercell charger

soooo much effort :steamfacepalm:

This was suggested before, but the more I think about it the more I think it's fine how it is. Only takes a few seconds to swap out batteries. A charging station can be placed nearby inside the docking station which is pretty convenient.

you can also find "perks" forgot their actual name that give you battery saver T1 i think up to T3 currently in the game, which means you dont have to swap them out, personally i had so much resources i made 2 of each charger and had 8 tool batteries charging all the time for my 4 tools, and 6 spare space car batteries with 2 in the car itself

I had a bit of thought about this. Its not much effort but it is pointless faff and its kinda stupid that a high tech docking station does not automatically charge the vehicle. Like you got solar panels that route power to every other component in your station but somehow the docking station cannot output power to the vehicle.

Have to remember, that most see this as Subnautica in space and as the Vehicle Docking Building in Subnautica auto charges your batteries, I imagine many expect the Astrometica one to do just the same. What they probably don't accept is, this is still Early Access and the feature probably hasn't been implemented yet.

I have no issues with removing cells from my vehicle. I keep a cell charger in my docking bay. As soon as I get back from an outing, I swap batteries in my Summon. I also always keep a spare pair of cells in my Summon cargo hold just in case.

That said, it really makes no sense that docking doesn't charge the vehicle. It really should.

Is it okay to beat autopsy boxes with a high-tech club?))))

If the docking station automatically recharged the batteries, for balance it should be slower than the battery charger. I don't find the battery recharge station slow. Every time I return I swap out the batteries and usually have three fully charged batteries available. You could build a second one to have six batteries charging at once.

It gives the player a little vehicle maintenance to perform when they dock.

okay okay i will build 4 battery charger :steamsad:

What would help is of the Summon rotated when docked to face out. Then the primary battery AND the storage module would face the stairs for easier access.

I find it an odd choice for the storage which needs to be accessed more often to be on the farthest side of the Summon when docked. To me, should be the opposite. Either reverse them on the vehicle, or make it dock backwards.
