This could have been a great single-player game
I tried the demo for a while:
- From a gameplay point of view, it's got what it takes, it responds correctly, it's interesting. The gameplay is good so far, but could use a little more polish to make it slightly more fluid (I felt a little stiffness in the movements).
- As for the game itself, why didn't you make it a single-player game? An adventure game like this, where you take on a role depending on the mission, could be very interesting. A pity, but it's not too late, given that the basis for multiplayer is there.
Multiplayer won't be interesting, it's wow, and wow's dungeons are so toxic that I won't play them again anyway.
Given the state of the forum, I can already see the same problems... Nobody wants to play tank, it's already asking for higher difficulty dungeons, very soon you're going to need a CV... And that's not counting the rushes, we're no longer enjoying the game.
Shame, missed opportunity to make it a single-player game.

- Graphics... The characters are catastrophic, that's all. They need to be completely redone. The orcs are OK.
The scenery is cute... But I'm sick of stylization. Yes, it's well done, okay, but it was already a big flaw on wow, a huge flaw on torchlight, and now I can't take it anymore, in 2025 it's all we get. I know from experience that it's simpler to produce stylized games, and therefore better suited to indie games.

But don't get me wrong, this kind of generic stylization repels. It makes me want to move on and dont play your game.

What would have been the problem with more realistic graphics? Or another kind of stylization (Diablo 4). Clearly your game isn't aimed at 14-year-olds, you're targeting the wow audience who want to get out of wow.
This audience is between 20 and 40... This audience systematically eats stylized, childish graphics... Fed up, really fed up.

I'm not trying to be toxic or argumentative but I just don't think the game is for you. Plenty of people like M+ in WoW (though you are right there is plenty of toxicity in mid-level keys). Plenty of people really like stylized graphics too. I absolutely adore WoW's art style. I have a friend who basically ONLY plays heavily stylized games. It's a valid artistic choice that not everyone will agree with but it's definitely not childish.

The game you are envisioning (gritty aesthetic, single player dungeons) sounds great too and I'd also love to play something like that as well but this game doesn't need to try to be that because it's going after something just as valid but for a different target audience than you.

While I do agree there will be toxicity. I don't think you'll find it in mid-levels. But more endgame keys. Right now what's holding players back is gearchecks. Not everything is available to us yet to quickly gear up since this is a demo. The content itself seems to be more on par with Legion difficulty. Which in my opinion was the only time I even enjoyed Mythic+
i like this game and multiplayer is great.

I meant that WoW has toxicity in the mid level keys. It's been my experience as you break higher then people tend to get more chill, generally because a lot of toxicity comes from misplaced blame. I have no idea how it will play out on this game though.

I understand what you're saying. But a lot of the toxicity during Legion was doing your weekly +15 for the chest. With the difficulty offered to us in this demo. It's feeling like a same scenario. Everything in the skirmishes & dungeons themselves are steamrolls and focused on gearchecks that takes time to reach atm.
+1 i think singleplayer would've made this great (or as an option)
-1 we need multiplayer lol go away with your singelplayer

+1 on that, singleplayer would be a nice option to have, specially since the game is good, then if it ever dies player-base wise, ppl who like it can still play it somehow without depending on a random discord server that he community always makes
