The concept of monstergirls isn't really new but yeah, Kenkou Cross (author of the encyclopedia) and their development of the game Monster Girl Quest had a huge impact on the popularization of the theme. To say that this game was inspired by it is... I don't know. Doesn't feel right exactly.

There were two main points that made me draw parallels, the way spirit, domination and dedication is described, and how elves are lesser succubi, as well as a few other small things from the setting. I was just wondering if the game developer was part of the club, or even a participant in the writing contest.

by the specific way that the frog girl was designed to have the bubbles on the head resembling frog eyes, i think that their was at least SOME inspiration, but their is also inspiration from other sources as well, as is most evident in the ability for monster girls to HAVE male children, even if that is becoming rarer
