I'm so confused about how this game is monetised why is there 2 battlepasses at launch and what is a card set it appears I can play without it?

battlepasses are just cosmetics. you will only be able to play a couple games vs people as a free to play. these plays refresh on a timer.

to get unlimited plays u need a deck which is the "first contact card set" for 10. you dont need anything else and if you get it you can play with your friends freely too.

there are no boosters its more like buying a board game :)

thank you for explaining I think it's a good monetisation and the game is fun it might get me to buy the physical game
